Chapter 2 Awkwardness gets Real

~Sapphire's POV~
I left that girl, Rosie, alone with Alastair. It's probably the biggest mistake since she's with Alastair. I'm just going to send some papers to the principal's office, it wouldn't take that long.
I came back to see that Alastair is holding Rosie by his arms as if she fainted into his arms.

"ALASTAIR!! I cried out to him. "WHAT HAPPENED?!"
"Well um, I guess she fainted... I don't know why" he said still trying to nudge her making her wake up.
I walk over there next to Rosie's desk and asked him,"Do you think she's out cooled?"

"I don't know, maybe she doesn't want to be in the same home room as me"

~Rosie's POV~
I woke up, I didn't open my eyes, because I didn't want to wake up to see people staring at me, or at least that's what I think would happened.
Then I hear a boy, I assume the boy I was staring at, said,"Do you think she doesn't want me to be in the same home room as me?"

I shot up and said in a super fast way,"YESIDOWANTTOBEINYOURHOMEROOM HEYSAPPHIRECANYOUTELLMEWHERETHEARTCLUBISATSOTHATICANMAKEMOREFRIENDS??"

"It's in room 117, but I haven't showed you all your cla-"
"OKAYTHENYOUCANSHOWMEMYCLASSESLATER,BYE!!"
I sprint to room 117, I CAN'T BELIEVE THAT I FAINTED.., INTO SOMEONE'S ARMS,... and he's hot too.... 😳😳

Sapphire's POV
"Okay, so let me get this straight. Did we just witness a girl pass out, then shot up and sprint to the art room?"

"Yup! " we both said at the same time. We walked to the art room to see what's Rosie's doing.

~Rosie's POV~ 
*SIGH* SIGH*  Wait... is that another student? YES! THIS IS MY CHANCE TO MAKE MORE FRIENDS!

I guess I should introduce myself. "Hi. I'm interested in joining art club."
"That's great! Sign your name on the sign-up sheet."

"Thank you!"
I walked up to the sign-up sheet, and signed my name. That girl I saw, I walked up to her and asked,"Hi! M-My name i-is Rosie! What's your name?"

She didn't answer, she just kept looking down. Looks like I'm not the only one that's shy. At the same time, Sapphire came with that boy.

"Oh Rosie! That girl, she's super shy, It'll be very hard to open up to her "she whispers to my ear.

"Oh, well, I guess I have art club with her now..?"
It felt super awkward, and I'm just gonna make even more awkward by asking this, "So I didn't catch your name, what was it?" while I pointing at the guy that stared at me.

"Oh, my name's Alastair" he said in the HOTTEST. VOICE. EVER.

"Oh, that's a nice name" I said and blush at the same time.

"Okay! I'm gonna break this awkwardness because this is just... really sad. Rosie! I still have to show you around your classes"

"Okay! Let's go!"

"And on the wayyy. You can talk to Alastairr."🎵🎶

"SAPPHIREEE!! SHUT UUPP!!" 😬😩

Me, Alastair, Sapphire, and that shy girl all went and followed Sapphire to show me my classes, AND MY LOCKER!! I FORGOT WE GET LOCKERS!! I'M SO EXCITED TO DECORATE IT!!!

We got to my locker, it looks REALLY old, but I can fix that easily. My locker's actually a few lockers next to that shy girl. Hopefully I can find out her name by the end of the day.
"Here's your locker, you can decorate it with any accessories, as long as you don't tell anyone your locker combination!" She whispers, "I had to learn that the hard way.."

"Okay... I'm so excited" I say in the most girlishness way possible.

RING RING!

"That's passing period cue! Time to go off to cla- WAIT SAPPHIRE, YOU DIDN'T SHOW ME ALL MY CLASSES!"

"It'll be fine Rosie, for the first week of school, teachers aren't going to count students for being tardy," Sapphire said. "Plus, if you get lost, just look for a student that has the same shirt as me and ask them where to go, or you can go to the office for the one of the police to show you the way," she says as she walks to our homeroom.

We walked in, the teacher's outside of the classroom greeting people. I picked a seat along with Sapphire, that shy girl, and Alastair. We all sat next to each other.

RING! RING!

The teacher walked to the front of the classroom and said,"Hello class, my name is Mrs. Canthyia, I am your homeroom teacher. I am also an advanced/regular reading/English teacher for anyone who wants to sign up for advanced reading. SPEAKING OF READING! Who has signed up for any advanced classes?"
The class was silent and nobody raised their hand. Mrs. Canthyia then pointed at me and said,"ARE YOU TAKING ANY ADVANCED CLASSES THIS YEAR?!"

"Um...yeah...." I said quietly, so no one could know.
"WHAT CLASSES DO YOU HAVE?!" as she walked up to me all up in my face.

"Well, I have advanced algebra, advanced reading/English, and advanced history," I said so quietly.

"THAT'S WONDERFUL! WHAT IS YOUR NAME YOUNG LADY?"

"Rosie....."

"That's it?" she says as she walks back up to the class room.
"Well, people known me as that, because that's my nickname, my real name is.... Rose" as I said staring down at the floor.

There was silence for a moment, then there were compliments flying at me from everywhere.

The teacher walks back to me and says,"THAT'S SUCH A WONDERFUL NAME!"

I sat there in silence. Waiting for something to happen.
Mrs. Canthyia grabbed my hand and walked out of the classroom and said,"I know how you feel, shy, scared, but you have to make friends so that they can make you feel better and be happy."

"I know, but it's so hard because when I was younger I got bullied by people that were my friends," I said sadly.

"Rosie, you can tell by how they act. Plus if you get bullied, tell me, AND I'LL PUNCH EM' IN THE FACE!"

".......um....*COUGH* *COUGH* can I go back to class now?" I say very quietly and with hope.

We walked back inside. I sat in my seat and as Mrs. Canthyia walked back up to the classroom, the students were staring me down like a hawk.

"Today is a free day for you all, except for your advanced classes. For your advanced class, you'll be given extra credit assignment, but you don't have to do it. So kick back, relax for this week of school!" she said to the class.

RING! RING!
