"you're as beautiful as the palm trees."

"you're as healthy as the palm trees."

"timea!"

"what?"

"new neighbors have just moved in, come say hello."

i ambled down the mahogany stairs to be greeted by a woman that looked too young to be a mother, and a curly haired, green-eyed boy that looked my age. i smiled weakly at them.

"welcome," my nonchalant introduction earned me a jab in the stomach, in which i smiled wider, and uttered some words of welcome and an introduction.

"i'm h-harry," the boy with intriguing eyes stuttered.

"excuse harry, he's quite nervous."

it was then that i noticed how his legs were trembling and sweat leaked down his now, pale skin. not much longer, his knees gave in, and his body toppled to the ground. we moved him to the couch, and i noticed how unworried harry's mother was, so i asked her about it.

"oh, it happens all the time. it's just another side effect to coronary artery disease."

"i'm so sorry, it must be hard."

"please don't say you're sorry, i'm just happy that he's still here, i don't need any pity."

"okay."

when harry awoke, my mother and his were no where to be seen, and i didn't know what to do.

"could i see your room?"

"sure," his odd question had thrown me off of my debating.

harry traced over the pictures on my wall, slowly, and there seemed to be a particular one he traced over; the palm trees.

"you're as beautiful as the palm trees."

"you're as healthy as the palm trees."
