"you're as graceful as the dolphins."

"you're as melodic as the call of the dolphins."

"you know, even if my own mum isn't ashamed of me, everyone else is. all my friends left me. i used to be in a band called white eskimo, and they left me."

"what did you do in the band?"

"sing."

"sing," i demanded.

the words that flew out of his mouth were as perfect as him, and it concerned me that someone this special would be treated like trash. it wasn't his fault that he got this, this thing that's breaking him internally.

this was the fault in our world; people get treated like shit when it isn't their fault they're the way they are. people don't learn to accept others, they don't learn that injured ones are normal people.

"that was amazing."

"what do you do?"

"dance."

"dance," he instructed.

i did.

"you're as graceful as the dolphins."

"you're as melodic as the call of the dolphins."
