It was a very bright morning in the city. Hyannah woke up with a smile on her face, knowing that today is the last day of her exams. She energetically fixed everything up and walked herself to the bathroom.
Lucile, her roommate, immediately prepared breakfast for them.
"Hyannah, today's the last the day. Did you do well last night?"
"Yes I did. You know me, Lucile." Hyannah answered as she tightly wrapped her towel on her hair.
"So, when will your parents move here?" Lucile asked, knowing that Hyannah's parents have decided to live with her in the city.
"I have no idea. I hung up when my mom was trying to explain the reason of their sudden decision. So, I really don't have details about it, but if you want to ask me, I'd rather not let them live with me here." Hyannah frowned as she started to eat the food Lucile had prepared for her.
"But Hyannah, just like you, your parents are also not familiar here. What if they get lost in the middle of looking for you?"
"Stop acting like you're the daughter Lucile, they're not kids. They know what they are doing."
"I don't know Hyannah, but I think you should ask them as soon as possible."
Hyannah made a deep breath.
She was totally against of what her parents have decided to do, but she had no choice.
After having their breakfast, Hyannah went on her phone to call on her mother.
~ RING DING DONG DING ~
"Hello Mom, I just want to ask if...."
But before Hyannah could finish, her mom immediately interrupted her.
"Oh thank goodness that you've called! I was about to call you but was afraid that you might not answer it."
"I'm sorry mom. But, what's with the sudden response? Is there any problem?"
Curiosity filled Hyannah's mind. Are they going to push through with their decision to live with me here? Or will they change their decision?
"My dear, your father and I are having difficulties in selling our land and house. They say it is too old and weak especially when the bad weather comes. I'm sorry my dear, I hope you understand. We'll just visit you there more often, is that okay with you?"
With what she heard, she wants to scream because of happiness.
"Don't worry mom, it's fine. Totally fine. Well, I have to go now, I still have my exams today. I'm sorry for the short convo mom. I'll just talk to you later, I love you and dad."
Then Hyannah hung up.
[AT SCHOOL]
"Hyannah!"
A very manly shout caught Hyannah's attention.
It was her "bestfriend" Oh Sehun.
"Hey! Sehun! Where have you been? Why didn't you take our previous exams?"
"I'm sorry Hyannah. Something happened in the province so I had to go home."
"What?"
"My mom, she had a heart attack. Well, its usual for us. But you know , my siblings still need me there to take care of her even just for 2 days. My father can't come home either, so I had no choice. Anyways, is it difficult?"
"No, absolutely not. For you, I'm sure it's just a piece of cake."
"Well, you said that. I'm expecting that I won't fail. Haha. I trust you, Hyannah."
"Of course, you love me, don't you? Haha."
"Yes yes. I do."
Sehun has the same case with Hyannah. He's also from the province. And that's the reason why they got so close. At first, Hyannah thought that Sehun has this spoiled bratt attitude because of her first impression of him. But the truth is, Sehun is a very simple boy. He has this bubbly personality mixed with the romantic yet childish trait of him. He is also good looking, that's why despite being a country boy, a lot of girls like him. Some are of the famous group of socialites in the school. However, Sehun, despite their short term of being together, had already fallen in love with his bestfriend, Hyannah. But is afraid to admit it because of the risk. But still, he is always ready to protect his bestfriend even if it would put himself in danger.
"Yaah, Hyannah, have you heard of those cases of rape in the northern part of the city?"
"Uhm, yeahh. Why?"
"Ahh. Well, I just want to remind you to take care of yourself. Always, even if when I am here."
"What? So you're telling me that I should be scared of you? Hahaha."
"No, it's not that. You know me Hyannah, I'm not that kind of boy and I respect you. It's just that, I can't be around with you all the time. I can't protect you always. And we don't know maybe even if I'm around someone will fool around you. We don't know what's in the future Hyannah. We don't know what will happen later, tomorrow, or on the next day. So please, take good care of yourself."
"Ohh. My bestfriend is so sweet. Yes I know that Sehun. And I really promise to take care of myself."
Then, Hyannah gave Sehun a peck on the cheek. It's not new for the both of them. They had been this sweet ever since they got closer to each other.
