I knocked on the door of my boyfriend's door gently. "Daniel?" I took a deep breath. "Do you want to build a snowman? Come on let's go and play!"
I heard an audible sigh but I got no answer. "I never see you anymore! Come out the door! It's like you've gone away! We used to be best buddies...and now we're not. I wish you would tell me why! Do you want to build a snowman?" I pressed my lips to the lock. "It doens't have to be a snowman."
"Go away Phil!"
The answer made me happy but the fact that he told me to go away made me cry. "Okay bye..."

The next morning I knocked on his door, feeling more confident this time. "Do you want to build a snowman? Or play Sonic all day long? I think a hug and kiss is overdue. I've started talking to the pictures on my phone! It gets a little lonely...no grins or laughs. Just trying to be happy!"

A week later I started to think Dan didn't love me anymore. He didn't want to be around me. "Dan? Please, I know you're in there. People are asking where you've been. They say try harder and I'm trying to. I'm right out here for you. Just let me in! We only need each other. It's just you and me. I need you to come out soon!"
I felt tears running down my cheeks. "Do you want to build a snowman?"

That night I was sitting in my room ready to give up. Thinking he really doesn't love me anymore.
Until there was a knock on my door. When I opened it there was a nervous looking Dan standing there.
"Phil?" he got down on one knee. "Do you wanna go get married? I really love you. I wanna spend my life with you. Please don't cry! I love the happy you!"
My hands flew to my mouth. I nodded as quickly as I possibly could. I dropped to my knees and wrapped my arms around him. "Don't scare me like that!"
He kissed me lightly. "Is that a yes then?"
"Of course!"
Dan put a ring onto the correct finger and kissed me again. "Sorry for not answering."
I put my arms around him again. "Don't worry about it, I understand why."
We sat on the floor with me in his arms until Dan smiled. "Hey Phil? Do you wanna build a snowman?"
And that's what we did.
