"What just happened?" I said, feeling flushed and breathless, looking at the boy next to me. Why do I feel afraid that if I look away he will be gone? I thought to myself.
"H-how could this happen?" he said to Aria, with his mouth opened, shell-shocked. "She's human" He whispered. As I looked at them, I noticed the teacher was looking at us, his beady eyes drilling a hole in my face. I looked at him confused, wondering why he was looking at me.
"Are you deaf? Did you not hear my question?" He said. I honestly don't remember his name. I'm going to start calling him Mr. Asshole, I thought to myself.
"Sorry sir." I said, sweetly.
"Answer my question now or else you will have detention!" Mr. Asshole exclaimed. I stared back at him, gaping at him. How can a english teacher be such a douche bag? I thought
The adonis next me said "It's Shakespeare." Mr. Asshole looked at him, pissed off. He looked away, mumbling to himself.
The adonis next to me looked down at me. Holy crap he's freaking huge! I thought "What is your name?" he asked. Tilting his head to the side, looking at me curiously.
" M-maddie" I stuttered, giving him a shy smile. He flashed a breathtaking smile at me. " What is your name?"
"Nice to finally meet you. I've waited for you for a long time. My name is Aiden." Aiden said.
"What do you mean you have waited long for me? We just met. Did Aria tell you about me?" I whispered to him.
"I will explain it to you later. I think that Mr. Anders is about to pop a vein." Aiden said, looking from the corner of his eye, almost about to laugh.
"Okay" I said, smiling up at him.
For the rest of the class, I felt nervous, but also excited. I couldn't stop peeking at him. I saw how his lips would perk up when he caught me. He would slide his chair over just a little to get closer to me. I could feel the pull that made me want to be closer to him. Sitting next to him, breathing the same air as him, seemed not enough. I wanted to be one with him. I wanted to know what he was feeling, to be there for him no matter the difficult times that we would probably face together. I knew that if I needed help, protection, comfort, love, friendship, he would always be there.
I jumped as I heard the bell ring. I saw everyone stand up and walk out the door. I looked at Aria and Aiden. Aiden held his hand out to me, smiling. I smiled back and took his hand.
Aria on my left and Aiden on my right we walked out the class. We walked outside to the greenhouse and closed the door behind us.
"Maddie, what Aiden and I tell you, you cannot tell anyone. This is a secret that our family keeps and hopefully you will become part of the family." Aria stated, seriously. As Aria looked me in the eye, I could tell that she was serious.
"I promise that I won't tell a soul." I promised, as I looked at the twins.
"What I am going to tell you is serious," Aiden said, in his deep voice "Don't run away from me. Stay and if you are afraid, let us talk about it."
When he said not to leave, he looked vulnerable and desperate for me not to go. It looked like he was in pain as he said to not go.
"Go ahead. I won't be afraid and I won't run," I said, as I went to hold his hand. As I looked into his eyes, I whispered "Trust me."
Aiden took a deep breath, looked into my eyes and said "I am an angel and you are my soul mate."
