' It was September 12th there was one more day until Senior year of high school and five days until my birthday, god I'm so excited to start a new here in Australia, and what's even better is that their are a bunch of attractive boys here.' Kat wrote in her diary until her mom bursts in and she quickly shut it. ' hi honey!' Her mom said excitedly. ' mom what have I told you about knocking!' Kay said then giggled at her moms happiness. ' I'm sorry I'm sorry but I just wanted to see how my baby girl was doing and how she was settling in.' Her mom said walking around her room still seeing packed boxes. ' I'm settling in fine mom just taking a quick break.' Kat said and smiled brightly showing her braces. ' well alright and I'm sorry me and your dad aren't around much we're just so busy with work and-' Kat cut her off.' Mom it's alright you don't have to keep apologizing your trying to make money and make a better life here then we did back in Oklahoma and I'm very thankful for it.' Kat said and got up and hugged her mom.' I know but I just want you to know I'm here for you and I also have someone for you to meet tonight for dinner so finish unpacking then get cleaned up, I think you'll like him.' She said and kissed her forehead and with that she left and Kat sighed not wanting to meet people but she did as she was told like she always does.
