#2: Chatty Man
"Cait, hurry up!" I shouted from the living room, clutching my cushion as I stared at the TV. My heart's been beating abnormally fast since the show begun, even though it was only Harry sitting on the couch in the room.
And now they've started talking about his songs, which meant he would mention Louis, and he would finally enter the room. God, my heart was nearly bursting out of my chest at the mere thought of that.
"Is he on yet?" Caitlyn asked as she rushed inside the room and sat next to me, placing two glasses of coke on the ground. No better way to celebrate your boyfriend being on TV than having coke.
"No, the commercials just ended," I beamed and started shaking my leg as I heard people clap, and saw Alan on the screen again. This is it.
"Welcome back everyone, yes, I am still sitting with Harry Styles here and no, I haven't managed to turn him during commercial break," He said, not laughing at all at his own joke, but that's why he had everyone else laughing. Even I started laughing; I was that nervous about Louis joining them.
"Alright, now, let's finally talk about what you came to talk about." He clapped his hands together, "Your upcoming album."
I squealed into the cushion, knowing Caitlyn would smack me across the head if I was any louder. But now, even she seemed nervous about him walking out in front of the cameras.
"Yeah," Harry said quickly, with a knowing smile on his face.
"So, the first single, it's called Happily."
"Yeah."
"And, it came out on Tuesday... and it's already number one on iTunes in the UK!"
Harry grinned as everyone applauded, even Caitlyn and I from our seats on the couch; for a reason different from everyone else's.
"Yeah," Harry repeated for the third time, causing a few people in the audience to laugh. "Um, when the songwriter played it to me for the first time, I knew it was going to be a massive hit. And even if it didn't reach number one, or didn't even chart on the iTunes or... wherever, I wouldn't regret having it as the first single off the album."
"Yeah, tell me something about the song," Alan turned to him completely, "It's, it's a wonderful song, but what's the story behind it? Did you ever ask the writer of it?"
Here it comes.
"Um, I did ask, but I think it would be better if he told you himself," Harry grinned even wider now and as soon as Alan turned to the camera, I knew I was in for a heart attack.
"Yes, he can probably explain it better than you," He said and paused for a few seconds until people stopped laughing. "And that's why we've got Louis Tomlinson here tonight."
His somewhat calm tone was the complete opposite from our screams; if Caitlyn and I did it one more time, the neighbors were surely going to call the police on us, but I couldn't even care about it. And now that Louis was almost jogging toward the couch with a million dollar smile on his face, I cared even less.
"I'm gonna cry, oh my fucking God," I squeaked, both my hands over my face as I watched him shake hands with Alan, and hug Harry. "That's Louis, Caitlyn, that's my baby."
"I know! Now shut up." I glared at the side of her head, and then looked at the screen again. Louis was sitting next to Harry, looking a little pale, but managing not to look like he was about to vomit. Which is what he'd been telling me during our last conversation over the phone, about an hour earlier.
