Driving home I feel the warm California air on my skin. I pull into the driveway of my house and park my Toyota Corolla. Carrying my bags in the house I unlock the door.

"Grandma! I'm home ! Where are you !" I scream hoping for a response. But, I get no answer. I put down my bags and  I decide to go up the stairs to try to find her. I walk up the steps and make it to the top and see her in the next room waving her arm around .  She's holding this wooden stick with a white paper thing hanging from the top of it.

"Its begun....." she says silently.

"Grandma...Whats going on ?" I say as my voice wavers. I'm starting to get slightly scared now.

"Come with me Ciara" she says grabbing my arm a little too tight for my liking. I don't know why but she takes in the basement. We walk further back until we stop at the front of this weird looking chest. She opens it and inside looks like some old clothes and a board game. She takes them out and sits us on the floor.

"These used to be your mothers things. This board here is called an Ouija board. This board allows you to contact spirits in the world beyond." she says looking off into the distance.

" Your mom had a gift, and because of this she could see spirits and help them out. I believe that you may possess the same gift. Have you been experiencing weird phenomena lately ?" She asks bombarding me. I have so many questions and answers.

"Well I did have this crazy dream, but I thought it was just a nightmare." I say.

“Your mother was the same way, and it started around the same age too. She was 17. I taught how to use and work the power that she has. The same power that you both have I also have but as I have gotten older the power has seemed to wain." She says this looking somber.

"So if this is true how did my mom really die? She didn't die in a car crash did she !? Why do I have this power and why do I have it? I knew this family was royally screwed." I say screaming once again. I don't want to scream at her, but I can't help it I'm frustrated.

"It's ok. Your mother was the same way at first. No she didn't die from a car crash. She died because of a demon and i have reason to believe that this same demon is after you. Demons are just bad spirits that can't pass on to the other world. Its our job to help spirits good and bad pass on. You cannot simply ignore this because they will come to you whether you like it or not. A prominent way they make themselves known is through dreams. I will teach you the ways." She says.

"I'm not ready for this! You can't just spring this on me now!" Frustrated I run out of the house and into my car. I call David but it goes straight to voicemail. Thinking that he must be asleep I drive to his house. I park on the side of the street and walk in his house. I see his phone on the kitchen counter so I make my way upstairs. I hear banging noises and screams coming from the other room. I go into the room its coming from. I see two naked bodies intertwined. My eyes start to sting with tears.

" You motherfucker! How could you! I scream at the top of my lungs. "Ciara what are you doing here?" he scrambles getting off of the bitch that's trying to cover herself up.

Anger flashes through me so I go up the the bitch grab her by the hair and say "get the fuck out of here!" as I kick her in her back with my foot straight out the door.

I turn towards David. "Screw you! You'd betray me for just a quick fuck!? I scream in his face as he looks bewildered. With all my strength I launch my foot towards his crotch.

"ahhh shit!" he screams in pain crouching over. I walk out of the house into my car and sit there for a moment when Davids naked body runs out of the house towards me trying to make up for what he's done. I turn on the car and gas the pedal and speed out of there. Driving out of anger I know its not good. I don't even know where to go. I wish I could just disappear right now. I end up pulling over on the side of the road. Sitting there I start to cry my eyes out and curl into a ball.
