Liam when he's telling Miriam how he feels but can't seem to find the words to say anything.
Miriam lays on her bed, geometry homework sitting in front of her. Liam, who was sat in the desk chair near the bed, suddenly sat up straight, "Uh- Miriam?" He asked nervously, breaking the girl from her work.
"Yes Liam?" Asked Miriam, her head turning to look at him. Instead of answering her, the boy stands up and begins to pace the length of the floor, biting onto his finger as he went.
"Liam, what's wrong?" Miriam said, standing from the bed, reaching a hand out to stop Liam from moving any further.
"I like you Miriam. I really really like you and I know you don't like me but I had to say something cause it's been bugging me." He confessed, looking away from her in embarrassment, nervous she'd regret him.
"You? You like me? Liam I've liked you since we first met. I didn't want to say anything cause I didn't want to risk our friendship." Miriam said it with such delicacy, making sure he wasn't playing a joke on her.
But he was not. He liked her from their first conversation, she was the only person to accept him for him.
