" you're in love with the detective !"

Robert Perry and James Gillies were sitting in their Physics class one day and that's when James Gillies heart skipped a beat ....... a man wearing a black suit with vest and a hat walked into class , the bell rang just as he approached the teacher, Professor Godfrey , Gillies felt a tap on his shoulder, he whipped his head around and saw Perry giving him a ' let's go ! ' look , Gillies got up and Perry led the way out of the class , just as they left they Hurd the man in the black suit say " hello Professor, I'm detective Murdoch, Toronto constabulary. I'm here to investigate the Murder of Professor Bennett ." The man said as the two young men walked out of the class " Detective ? Hey Robert, let's offer him help on his investigation..... we know how it happened anyhow." Gillies said, perry nodded and they left the hallway. Not long after that, Perry and Gillies ran down the stone steps and out the door right at the heels of Detective Murdoch " detective!  James Gillies , past student of Professor Bennett " Gillies said, Murdoch shook his hand " Robert Perry , also a past student of Professor Bennett " Perry said as Murdoch now shook his hand, " we were wondering if we could help you with the investigation...." Gillies asked quickly following behind the detective and his constable " what do you say sir , show these chaps how it's done ....." constable George Crabtree suggested, clearly excited about the young men's idea of joining them " I don't see the harm .... right this way then boys , but I assure you , it's nothing special....." Murdoch said with a chuckle as the four left to go to vist the scene of the crime , Perry looked to Gillies, Gillies looked at him and smiled, perry leaned over and whispered in Gillies ear " you're in love with the detective "
