The actors put on a play today
Where the king and queen would say
"Oh how we love this beautiful day"
On the grassy hill they lay.
The king and queen had silly rules.
To take the pudding and fill the pools
But when no one listened they looked like fools
And the jester just sits and drools.
The play continued with laughs about,
With the king is in his crown and they can't get him out.
This was a mess. There was no doubt
when the stage came down they started to shout.
"THE SHOW IS OVER SO GO HOME NOW PLEASE!"
Don't look at that, there is nothing to see.
The actors were crying. The trees would sneeze.
Still the laughs brought the crowd to their knees.
When the show ended they heard the sound
of a standing ovation & cheers all around.
The cast would smile & the next day they found
The paper review says "THE BEST SHOW IN TOWN!"
