Two uploads in one day? What? You should all be very proud of me. Anyway, here's the story. (BTW, the Author's Note at the end is very important)

“Get up, Lazy!” Kevin exclaimed as he jumped onto the bed, startling Kason out of his sleep. The older boy panicked and crashed off the bed.

“Oww,” he groaned, rubbing his back. Kevin rolled his eyes.

“Get up!” he demanded. “Cyren is coming to pick us up in an hour!” Kason’s eyes snapped open.

“What time is it?” he questioned as he rummaged through his bag for the clothed he packed to go skating.

“It’s almost twelve!” Kason grabbed his stuff and walked to the bathroom down the hall. He closed the door and started undressing before it dawned on him that he was missing something.

He opened the door just a crack and poked his head out. Suddenly, a towel and a wash cloth were shoved in his face.

“You might need these,” Kevin giggled as he pushed the half-naked boy back inside the bathroom. Kason muttered a quick thank you before shutting the door and hopping in the shower.

When he was done, Kason dried himself off and threw on his clothes. He shook his hair of excess water and walked out of the bathroom, the towel sitting on his head.

“Hurry up, slow poke!” Kevin giggled from the stair case. “Thirty minutes left.” Kason smiled and flicked his wet hair at the boy, who in turn squealed and ran down the stairs.

Kason chuckled to himself and walked into Kevin’s room. He pulled on his black DC shoes and tied the laces before travelling down the stairs and into the kitchen.

“Good morning, Mrs. Reynolds,” he greeted as he sat down at the table next to Kevin who glared at him, motioning to the wet spots on his baby blue shirt. Kason smiled back at him.

“Good morning, dear. How did you sleep?” the woman questioned as she filled Kason’s plate with pancakes and bacon.

“Great, until this one threw me off the bed,” Kason chuckled as he jerked his thumb in Kevin’s direction. Mrs. Reynolds laughed.

“That sounds like something he would do.”

“But I didn’t!” exclaimed Kevin. “I jumped on you, you got scared and you fell off the bed! See? No throwing involved.”

“Ahuh. Sure, Kevin. Whatever you say.” Kevin threw his hands up in exasperation and devoured his pancake. They ate in silence until they heard the doorbell ring.

“C’mon, Kason,” Kevin urged. “They’re here. Let’s go.” Kason placed his dish in the sink and said a quick goodbye to Mrs. Reynolds before Kevin dragged him outside.

“Hey, guys,” a boy with black hair greeted. He glanced over at Kason and his brows furrowed.

“Cyren, this is Kason. Kason, this is Cyren,” Kevin introduced them and Cyren nodded.

“Nice to meet you,” he said as he shook Kason’s hand.

“The pleasure’s all mine.”

They followed Cyren to his van and climbed in the back where Kason was once again greeted with unfamiliar faces.

“Hello,” a girl with purple streaks in her hair said, “I’m Violet.” Kason smiled.

“That’s a very fitting name,” he responded, motioning to her hair. She was a pretty girl, long blonde hair with purple streaks framing her pale face. Her big brown eyes were framed by long lashes. She had two pig tails at the sides of her head and a sun necklace dangling around her throat.
