Hoseok played with the hemm of his shirt nervously, biting his lip while waiting for Yoongi to arrive. Though it was early in April it was sunny and warm outside, the soft breeze caressing his face and carrying the scent of spring which made him smile slightly. Slowly growing impatient he checked the time. Yoongi was already ten minutes late and Hoseok was scared he might have changed his mind. He himself had already arrived at the café at half past one and stood outside next to the entrance since then.
He was about to call the other when he caught sight of Yoongi. His heart skipped a beat before pounding twice as fast, he fixed his hair and clothes with shaking hands. He didn't know how to react or what to say when Yoongi was in front of him, barely one meter away, and God, he was just so beautiful Hoseok forgot to breathe. The older wore a black hoodie, his hands buried in the pockets of his ripped jeans and his hair slightly messy. "Hey, Hoseok", Yoongi finally said. "Hey", the younger muttered under his breath. "Let's go inside, shall we?" He flashed him a weak smile. "Yes, sure!"
As soon as they went inside they were greeted by the smell of coffee, cake and pastries. They took a seat on a small, round table right next to a window. Unsure what to say or do, Hoseok fiddled with his fingers. None of them said a thing until Yoongi gave the younger the menu. Hoseok flashed him a shy smile before deciding what to drink while the other did the same. A waitress appeared and Hoseok immediately thought she was pretty; soft, full lips, big brown eyes, a cute nose and a friendly smile. "What do you guys want to drink?", she asked, clicking the pen in her hand. "A hot chocolate, please", he said, hoping Yoongi wouldn't think he was childish for not drinking coffee. But he just smiled to himself before asking for the same. Surprised, Hoseok looked at him. The waitress wrote down their orders on her notepad. "Alright, I'll bring you two cups of hot chocolate then", she repeated their order before winking at Yoongi, turning around and walking back behind the counter, leaving Hoseok speechless. The older just rolled his eyes, obviously annoyed. "So... how are you?", he asked, running his fingers through his jet black hair making Hoseok want to know if it's as soft as it looked like. "I'm fine", he muttered, "what about you?" He let out a small sigh before forcing a smile. "Me too." The younger furrowed his brows, not really believing the older's words. "Anyways", he tried to distract Hoseok from questioning him, "I'm sorry for what happened on Thursday. I... I didn't intend to hurt you. I was selfish, I shouldn't have done that, I'm..." Hoseok interrupted him. "Yoongi, breathe. Then talk again, slowly, and tell me everything from the beginning." The older nodded taking a deep breath. "So... this girl I had a date with - her name is Eunji - caught me looking at you. Not a bad thing, usually... but, you know... well, I'm gay and my friends are homophobic as hell so they don't know... God, I feel stupid now." He paused trying to organize his thoughts and Hoseok tried to hold back the grin forming on his face, heart racing and cheeks slightly pink. "Anyways... I mean, I don't really know you but... you caught my interest. Listen, I don't know why you care so much about me but I am thankful. I might have seemed cold and mean but I didn't mean it. I just didn't know how to react. And on that Thursday... I was scared she might find out I liked guys, so I said those things. Really, I didn't mean it." He bit his lip nervously. "So you don't hate me?", Hoseok asked making Yoongi shake his head. "No. If anything, I really like you", the older whispered looking at his hads resting on his lap. Hoseoks face dropped in disbelief, his peachy cheeks now being colored a darker shade of red. "You... You do?" Yoongi nodded, a pink gleam on his cheeks and nose which made him look unbelievably cute.
In this moment the waitress appeared, putting down a cup of hot chocolate in front of each of the boys. But she didn't leave immediately; instead she put down a note, winking at Yoongi again before finally leaving. Furrowing his eyebrows he looked at the numbers written down on it. "She really..." He then fetched his smartphone from his pocket, typing in something before holding it to his ear. Seconds later a ring could be heard from a phone which turned out to belong to the waitress. Her eyes met Yoongi's before she accepted the call. "Yeah, hi. So, sorry to disappoint you, but I'm gay", he told her straightforwardly and Hoseok tried to hold back a laugh ending up giggling like a psychopath. The woman's face dropped and this made Hoseok let out a laugh. Yoongi ended the call with a "have a good day", then he stuffed his phone back into his pocket. "Okay", Hoseok giggled, "that was awesome."
