School was a lot stressful and I didn't have time to call zayn, the handsome blonde and I became close, he was actually my neighbour and well we do a lot together, it was a few days later that I learnt he's name was Xavier, most people at the university questioned our relationship, well I'm black he's white, I'm not bothered since I had white friends before but interracial relationships are frowned upon by most people in the university. Xavier and I are not in a  relationship but people do think so. "What are you thinking about love" Xavier asked as he followed me to the cafeteria "nothing much but I want to ask you why you're with me, do you pity me or something?" I asked "why do you ask did anybody say something?" I shook my head at his question "well I like you (y/n)" he said avoiding my eyes "why?" I asked shocked, why would someone like me "you're beautiful, smart and shy, most of all you have a heart of gold" he said blushing, "Xavier I'm black,an orphan, depressed, anti social and I have no friend,what will make someone like me,I don't even like me" I said just trying to blink back tears "(y/n) many people want to be with you, especially me, I want you to feel protected by me, I want you to feel wanted by me" he said hugging me " thanks Xavier but I'll have to think about it for some time" I said breaking out of the hug "alright I'll be waiting for you" he said kissing my cheeks. We walked in silence to the apartment "see you later" he said before going into his room, I sighed "who was that?" I turned startled to see Zayn, I was shocked to see him.
