"Stop the car!!" I yelled as my mom slapped me. We pulled over to the curb and I got out and slammed the car door. My mom didn't care she sped off as if I meant nothing to her, which is true I'm nothing to her all she cares about is her stupid boyfriend. I couldn't go home so I went to the park and sat on the swing.30 minutes later I felt my phone buzz in my pocket.

I read his message and slid my phone back in my pocket not needing to reply. "Hey Case." Jai said walking up behind me five minutes later. "Hi." I said looking down at the ground to avoid looking at him. "You ok?" He said placing his hand on my back as I sat on the swing still. "I'm fine." I said. He walked around the swing to where he was facing me. "Look at me." Jai said. A tear slid down my cheek. "Look at me." Jai repeated as he lifted my chin. "Who hit you?" Jai said examining my check where I'd been slapped and hour earlier. "I-I m-my m-m-" I couldn't talk it was like I had no voice. "Casey?" Jai said brushing his finger over the surface of my skin where I'd been slapped. "They told me Andrea punched you..in the stomach...not your face." He said looking me in the eyes. His beautiful hazel eyes scanning my face as I cried. "It was my m-mom..." I barley let out."
