That's My Girl

Chapter 3

You glared secretly at your cousin as you remembered last night's scenarios - you pushed Namjoon away when he came to hug you then left the guest room quickly, he came after you then told you the truth - this summer meant the whole world to you and him, but it meant the whole world to him because on that summer he found out about something that has to do with him. He thought that your relationship was for fun but still felt some guilt after he left because he thought you didn't think like him, and how damn he was so right.

Taehyung raised his face from the newspaper and raised a brow at you.

"What?" you asked him.

"Why are you glaring at me?"

"Why did you bring that friend of yours to dinner when it's my first day here?!"

"Because he is like my brother" he said then lowered his gaze back to the newspaper.

-flashback-

"Kim Aeryn!" he grabbed your hand and turned you to face him when you stormed out of your room.

He pulled you back into it and closed the door after him.

"How could you show up like this?!" you cried, "how?!"

"If I would have known that you will be here-"

You slapped him.

"A-Aeryn"

"How could you leave me?" you asked quietly as you wiped your face with the back of your palm.

"What do you mean?! We were joking the whole summer, I was half drunk half of the time when I was with you! We were just having fun... But when I saw your face today I thought it hurted you that I left without saying goodbye so I wrote the romantic sweet goodbye letter..."

"So was it all a joke to you?!" you asked him angrily then took a deep breath to calm yourself down "then why the heck you wrote on the end of the letter love you forever?! WHY?!"

"So I could give you a sweet and romantic goodbye" he said quietly.

"You little son of a bitçh!" you started hitting his chest and crying, he didn't stop you. "HOW COULD YOU PLAY WITH ME LIKE I AM A LITTLE TOY?!"

"I am sorry... I didn't mean to do it by writing it... I truly thought it will make you smile... You know - see this happy and careless summer as something that will stay in our hearts forever"

You wiped your tears then whispered "why did you leave anyway? You said you had to..."

"I found out about my true feelings for people..."

"W-What do you mean?" your heart clenched in pain.

"I found out how I feel towards a special girl..."

You stood at your place, you couldn't let a word leave your mouth as you were shocked from the information you just got.

"Did you even thought about me, Kim Namjoon?" you asked quietly "the girl that you spent a whole summer with?! Did you decide to play with me from the beginning and guessed I will understamd it is a game?!"

"I thought you saw it like me. I didn't feel any commitment to you so I thought the summer can be fun after all in China" he caressed your cheeks softly "but you loved me and I am sorry" he whispered "I never meant to hurt you from the beginning. I thought you understood that our relationship wasn't serious. I was selfish when I kissed you, when I left you... but I want to be in a real relationship with the girl that I love, and you deserve someone who loves you too, someone that will be proud to call you his girl"
