New Character - Cey - 4th year transfer student from Hong Kong.
2014.
The first day of my college career.
Coming out of high school I was really shy, it was inevitable.
Between having a tiny class of 54 graduating students and a narcissistic best friend who (although unintentionally) bullied me into a lot of things, I wasn't the most outspoken person in the world.
In fact I could get anxious just from trying to order food from McDonalds, and seeing that in the last 3 years I had not talked to anyone but my former best friend, social interaction also came as something foreign, alien, new.
The first day of school was named Imagine Day, and was a pep rally and tour for all new students. We'd get led around by volunteers, attend a pep rally, and be free to visit all the booths the different clubs have set up in order to get new students.
I didn't join any clubs but alongside Cey I used a defunct email to sign up with various ones to get the treats they were handing out.
It was a grey, drizzly day, and we headed home soonafter exchanging numbers.
