Forget the Past

Chapter 1

Chapter 1:

As I walked through the hallways trying to find my locker I bumped into my only friend Michael.

Michael has been by best friend since preschool. He is the reason why I decided to come to this lame school in the fist place. He has had more boyfriends than me specially because I haven't dated since 9th grade. He is also a quarter back for our football team so he is pretty popular.

"Hey Steph" Michael said as soon as I started opening my locker. "Hey Mich" I said while putting my backpack inside and taking out my science book. We always call each other by the nicknames we gave each other when we were young.

"So I've been thinking about our social life and I believe we are at that point in are life were we start to have fun, go to party's, and get boyfriends..... And by we I mean you." Michael told me with a hopeful smile.

"I'm sorry Mich I just don't think I'm ready to live the wild life again I really enjoy being invisible" I told him knowing that he would complain about my decision and give me 1,001 reasons why I should stop being such a party pooper.

" Fine I understand but it's almost summer and we need to do fun thing. You can't just keep being boring and nerdy all the time. I miss the old Stephanie" his responds surprised me.

"Alright" I said to him "What plans do you have for this summer you would want me to tag along" I told him giving him some hope back.

"Well I signed up for this super cool college program that is about two months and it is residential so we could live on campus and the deadline to sign up is next Friday it would mean the world to me if you went"

"I don't know it sounds expensive were is it"

"It's totally free and it's in Florida the only requirement is you need to have a 3.0 GPA and with how nerdy you are I'm pretty sure you qualify"

" Well it sounds cool and it's in another state.... I'll give it a go my mom will be glad to get me out of the house"

"Thanks Steph your the best" he told me giving me a tight hug.

After that the bell rang I closed my locker and quickly walked to class with Mich.
