This was supposed to be a 10k short story. People who know me as a writer, know I struggle with short stories.
After attempting three times in the last three months, I realized it wasn't happening. So I may have shot over my goal by a measly 50k word count or so...

PS. if everyone could please highlight/copy the line of any errors, missed, so that I may go back and correct them...I would greatly appreciate it. I spent two whole weeks on editing and apparently am still trying to get it right. Thanks so much!
