Fight for You

chapter two

I woke the next morning with a pounding headache and not much memory of the night before. I rolled over and slammed my hand down on my alarm clock to stop the annoying beeping before slowly pushing myself out of bed and heading towards my bathroom. The whole time I kept promising myself that I would never again drink so much when I had to start work at 9am the next day.

I eventually made my way to my car and headed to the cafe where I met with Olivia and Lacy, the two girls working with me today.

"Late night?" Lacy asked me as she started to set turn all the electronics on as Olivia got the tables ready. I merely grumbled in response as I immediately started to make myself a cup of coffee, one of the perks of working in a cafe.They both merely laughed knowing I wasn't a morning person whether I had a hangover or not.

Eventually the customers started to pour in and it wasn't long before Casey came in around lunch signalling my shift was just about over. I lifted my head about to serve the couple in front of me before leaving and I was met with two familiar faces. It was Danielle and Eleanor.

"Hey," Danielle said politely while Eleanor slightly waved.

"Hey, were you guys after something?" I asked back politely not exactly sure what to say.

"Umm yeah, well actually the boys had stuff to do today and because this is both of our first times in Brisbane we didn't really know where to go so we thought we would come here, because we remembered where it was and well we don't have any friends here." Eleanor rambled on awkwardly.

There was another awkward silence, which was really starting to annoy me, I really hated awkward silences. So I did the only polite thing I could think of.

"I've just finished my shift, we could hang out if you want?" I offered with a smile, not really sure if it was the right thing to do. Instantly both of their faces went into relieved smiles as they both quickly nodded their heads and assured me they would love to.

"I'll just grab my stuff and be right out," I quickly said and ran out the back and into Casey who still looked hungover from the night before, despite it being midday.

"I'm off, I'm going to be hanging out with Danielle and Eleanor." I told Casey as I grabbed my bag.

"Who?'

"You know the girlfriends of Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson from the boy band One Direction," I explained quickly to her with a laugh and ran back out the front and walked out the door with the two British girls before Casey could react. I knew I would be harassed the moment I got home.

"So what would you girls like to do?" I asked as I headed to my car with them following.

"Well were kind of hungry?" Danielle said politely from the backseat. I smiled knowing the perfect place and started the car. Instantly I blushed before turning down my music which was currently blasting I want by One Direction.

"I love this song," Eleanor laughed loudly before turning the music right back and singing along loudly with Danielle joining in with her. I sat there shocked for a moment before deciding to go with it and joined in and quickly pulled out into the usual Brisbane traffic.

After a couple more One Direction song I eventually pulled into a car park and we got out of the car at boardwalk that wound around the river with cafes, shops and markets lined the walkways.

"This place is so cute," Danielle exclaimed coming to stand next to me. I laughed and led them over to a cute little restaurant Casey, Paige and I always go to. We ordered our meals and sat down outside enjoying the view.
