Fred the Ghost

   Fred the Ghost was a ghost who you would see at both day and night. He haunted a school but failed at his job. Ghosts are meant to scare people but Fred was just a joke that people would use to make their school sound better than it actually was. The cafeteria at the school he haunted was quite big. If anyone fell from the ceiling it's very unlikely they'd be able to survive even if they landed properly. There were blinds that spread from halfway to the top of the wall. Fred would always make these blinds randomly shut and open, wishing to scare one of the children eating. It never worked. Whenever the children would see what Fred was doing they would go and ask the janitors or lunch ladies about it. They always told those kids that it was just the light reflecting on the blinds which makes it look like they're opening and closing. The children believed it. One day when Fred was trying to scare someone, anyone, he ended up being ignored. None of the children had looked at the blinds at all like they usually do. Out of anger, thinking he'd been forgotten and had no chance to scare anyone he slammed the blinds shut. The entire cafeteria heard the noise. The janitors and lunch ladies tried to soothe the kids, tell them that it was nothing but all the kids knew that it wasn't  nothing. Ever since that day, Fred has been happier, slamming and opening the blinds more loudly to get attention. But the children weren't happy. They knew that the light couldn't actually be the reason behind the "illusion" of the blinds since they had heard the blinds actually shut.

(A/N Ok so since this is just a monstrosity of a story and absolutely no one will believe that this actually happened I'll just tell the real story. So the cafeteria was actually set up like the story said and me and my friend one day noticed how the blinds would randomly shut and open. We asked the person near us if they'd noticed us before. They just told us that nearly everyone at the school knew about Fred the Ghost. We ended up talking to the Lunch Ladies about it and they told us it was just the light from the sun making it look like the blinds were opening and shutting. We decided that they were probably right and ignored the fact. Around a week later however, me and my friend were talking and ended up looking back over to the blinds. They were still randomly opening and closing. My friend ended up turning to the person next to us but I, kind of in a daze, kept staring. That's when all they blinds looked to shut and was quickly followed by a loud noise of blinds shutting that echoed through the cafeteria. Everyone went silent for a few seconds before talking again. That was literally the only thing that happened involving Fred the Ghost but still, even if the light was the reason behind the shutting blinds, what was the noise?)
