It's Autism Awareness Month everyone!!
Beverly, seen above, has autism. She was born with it. Does she let her illness get in the way? Absolutely not! Is she proud of who she is? Yes she is!
Having autism makes her unique! She couldn't be anymore proud of who she has become while growing up!
Where did I get the inspiration for such a character? My best friend Sammy of course!
Since I first moved to my new school, she was the first one I talked to. We became best friends after that. Five years later, and we're still best friends. Nothing can change the fact that she was the best thing that happened to me after I had to leave my friends and my family.
This is why this month is so important to me!
