Chapter 3

“Hey, you’re the new girl who just moved in’ he replied, breaking the minute silence. I walked over to the bus stop bench and sat down.

“Yeah, I am.” I replied back, giving him a smile.

“I’m Niall” he answered back, putting out his hand towards me. I leant my hand over and shook his hand, feeling his soft skin.

“I’m Rachel’ I replied still smiling. We broke from the hand shake after a minute or so and just stared at each other.

“You’re not from here are you? You have a different accent” He asked, sounding curious.

“Where ya from?” He asked, sitting up straight, closer to me.

“Good old Australia” I replied as I swayed my hand into a thumbs up. Niall did a little chuckle and smiled.

“Well obviously I’m from here. Why are you here though?” He asked, still keeping eye contact.

“Parents company pretty much. They moved here so yeah, here I am.” I said, chuckling on my last sentence.

“Hah, yeah, here you are” Niall replied back, staring at me with those deep blue eyes, burning holes straight through my eyes. I looked at him up and down and questioned why he was in a school uniform. Must be from another school then I thought to myself a bit disappointed. We both just sat there on the bench just inches away from each other in silence.

“You go to another school?” I asked, breaking the silence.

“Yep, all boys school” he replied back.

“Oh, well I’m going to Javaden High” I replied back, getting a little too heated. One being because it was starting to get warm and the other was because Niall was sitting next to me.

“Oh I know where that is, its not that far from my school like 5 minutes away.” He replied back. I looked at him, he looked like he had an idea, but didn’t know whether or not to say it.

“So, I guess we’re going on the same bus then?” He asked, smiling.

“8:15 bus?” I asked, staring at him. A smile appeared on his face as he nodded. I then started to look straight after I realized that I was staring at him for quite a while.

“Do you wanna sit next to me?” He asked, my head instantly turned to face his.

“Sure, why not” I replied back. Before we knew it the 8:15 bus arrived.

“After you” Niall gestured his hands towards the bus doors.

I couldn’t help but giggle “Thank you” I replied back as I made my way into the bus. The bus was packed, full of teens all scattered around the bus seats. Some were in the same uniform as Niall and some were in just casual. As I was walking in all eyes were on me, I couldn’t help but stare at the ground. I was getting quite uncomfortable. As I walked down more, Niall tapped me on the shoulder and pointed to the two empty seats not that far from us. I smiled and started to walk there, feeling Niall push me along. As I got to the seats, I quickly slipped in sitting on the seat as the staring still continued. It was mostly the girls who were staring at me. There was a little group in the middle with all these girls, they looked my age giving me the evils. Why are the giving me the evil look for? What have I done when I haven’t even spoken to them? I thought to myself staring out the window. The bus finally started to move as I saw all these beautiful houses all lined up neatly in a row. Beautiful gardens neatly placed. It takes about 10 minutes to get to school, and I’ve only been on the bus for a minute or so. So far we have had 2 stops.

“Rachel, when did you get here?” Niall asked, as the bus stopped.

“Um, just a couple of days ago” I replied back.

“Oh cause I was wondering if you would like a tour around Ireland after school?” He asked, showing of his pearly white teeth. I sat there smiling at him “Yeah sure, love to take a tour”

I looked out the window and saw kids all ages walking along the footpaths, Guess school must be close then I thought to myself.

“How bout we meet, here at the bus stop after school?” Niall asked, as the bus stopped. I saw him get up, as well as the other students and didn’t hesitate to follow him out, since I knew this was the stop.

“Sure, after school I’ll meet you here” I answered back smiling as we both walked off the bus.

“Sweet, I’ll see you soon” Niall said, as I saw him walk off to his own direction. I looked around and saw this massive school, filled with heaps of people all scattered around the place. This must be Javaden I whispered under my breath. I took hold of my bag and swayed it onto my back. As I started to walk,  I felt a tap on my shoulder. I then turned around and saw a pair of familiar gorgeous blue eyes.

“I forgot. Here’s my number just in case anything happens and the plans change” Niall said, as he gave me a piece of crumple paper.

“Oh thanks” I replied.

“Well bye Rachel” Niall said as he waved.

“Bye Niall” I said, softly since he was already in a far distance.

I then turned around and continued walking to school.
