The boy fell to the floor. It didn't hurt. It had to begin with, but now, now there was no pain. Shock more than anything.

He saw a small pool of blood starting to gather before him. Wiping his nose on his dark black jacket he stood and walked into a further secluded part of the wood. if anyone else knew about it, he didn't know. He just knew it was safe. Probably.

He sat back against a tree breathing heavily for a while trying to calm himself. He couldn't go home, he couldn't go to a friends house. No. he had nowhere to go. So he sat.

Plugging his tangled headphones into his ears, he sat under the shade of the tree. The sound of Danny Worsnop lulling him to sleep.

When he awoke he noticed 3 things. The first, it was now dark. Second it was cold. An third, he was no longer alone. In fact it was quite obvious how not alone he was. A pair of blue eyes stared at him. Unmoving. For what seemed like ages he stared back before trying to retreat backwards and only succeeding in hitting his head cause his oh so fragile nose, to start bleeding again.

The figure before him jumped to help him and in the dull light if the moon he made out blonde hair, a stretched left ear which was about an inch in diameter and glistening white teeth. He almost reached out to touch this stranger but stopped. The stranger noticed and stopped trying to clean the boys nose, but instead encouraged him to take the tissue held to his nose before backing away.

The stranger and the boy both looked down cheeks flaming in an embarrassed blush.

"Sorry, I um, I saw you sleeping and thought... um, maybe you shouldn't be alone?" when the stranger spoke his voice was deep and his explanation, was more of a question, leading the boy to believe it wasn't quite completely true. But the boy nodded and complied.

"Yeah,thanks... and thanks for the tissue."

The stranger seemed to make a quick decision and flung his arm out before the boy to shake.

"I'm Jay, I'm new around here. My mum and dad split up. Do you want to be friends, I didn't really have any before I- sorry, I'm blabbering." And the stranger started to drop his hand, but the boy just grinned at this stranger, Jay, before leaning forward to give Jay a small but warm hug, which he accepted. He had known this boy seconds, it felt like a lifetime.

"Liam." he said when he pulled back from the hug, moments after it started.

"I don't have friends either, but im weird and you look like you'd be better with the jocks. You're tall and..." he was going to say gorgeous, but that would be a bad mistake to make. Especially now. "lean" he finished.

He had barely finished when the stranger shook his head and smiled revealing a piercing just behind his lip. Liam stood up heart racing, "I erm, gotta go home. Yeah, gotta get tea...." he turned about to leave when Jay spoke, "wait! which school do you go to"

Liam hesitated before replying. He looked over his shoulder grinning, "when I actually go? that one." He pointed to a large building down the road. It was actually several buildings, but the biggest one was in front and blocked the others out.

Then he walked away. Grinning.
