* Diamond's P.O.V.
I arrived home at 4 in the afternoon. Calum and Desha bounced off the couch, greeted me, and then left. Walking towards the little monsters I pause and look at my dad. He's in the kitchen, but looks awfully tired. Seeing him like this reminds me that I really must search for a place that'd be willing to hire me.
"Hey dad. How are you?" He sighs. Lifting his head up, I can tell he's trying to give me a smile. Key word "trying".
"I'm fine sweetly. How was your day?"I give him a hug and let him know it was fine. I go to see what my younger siblings are up to, and find them on the floor. They're sprawled out coloring in their Nickelodeon coloring books.
"Heyyyyyy boogers, having fun?" Honestly little kids can put some much focus into the simplest things.
"Look! My Power Ranger is so colorful, " says Jacob bouncing up and down.
"Look at mine! Wanda and Cosmo have magic," says Angie. Her favorite show is The Fairy OddParents..~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.
Later that night once everyone was asleep, I decided to look up some job listings. I grabbed my laptop and headed to Google. Three years, that's how long it took for them to have enough money in order to purchase a laptop for me (just Diamond). My whole family worked so hard, and now it's time for me to help them out.
"Nice jobs that pay a lot of money," I whispered to myself. I know it was odd, but I didn't know what to search.
'I neeeeeddd a good job. Easy and that comes along with some nice cash.' Those were the only things going through my head.
I spent ten minutes and was really growing impatient. This is too much!
"Ooh this looks somewhat good..I think?" The description of the website wasn't really providing enough details/information, but I'm literally clicking every. single. site. at this point.
I click the link and try to be patient. It takes way too long to load. I attempt to go back, but all of a sudden the page loads. Unfortunately many pop-ups begin to..well pop-up. I know this is bad. I try to close the tab, but when I click the x..my laptop FREEZES.
"Ugh, why?" I can't be too loud, for that might cause someone to wake up. An idea then pops in my head, 'Ohh why don't I simply shut down the laptop'.
Guess what happened when I gave my bright idea a go? Give it a shot. Why don't you. Here I'll help you out and tell you what occurred. I couldn't shut down my damn laptop.
I was so frustrated at this point.My biggest issue was that there was this huge pop-up on the screen was a fucking strip club advertisement. It stated," Now hiring at Town of Desserts. Located on 2226 Fruity Street Delaware New York 30064. $26.80 an hour, plus the night's tips. Work at the most popular night club around. Make everything unforgettable!Call 666-840-9271 for further information." It was honestly sad that I was so tempted to call. If I work there for six hours I'd earn $160.80+tips. I was really curious.
I guess I lost track of time while thinking. I knew I couldn't do anything about the laptop, so once I heard my mom's car beep, I closed it and placed it in my backpack. I decided to just sleep in the living room seeing as I could barely keep my eyes open.
I'll deal with that tomorrow. In the mean time Ima get my beauty sleep.
• finally getting into it. ;))
