To transform the ideal into the action,
To know to live through the sweet uses of adversity,
Bygone as the civilization, lost in the years
Lost is Bangalore’s beauty.
Bangalore, the garden city, the city that has the highest number of pubs in Asia, the pub capital of India. Being the 3rd largest populated city in India, Bangalore’s culture is widely depicted through it’s technological development, proving it to be the Silicon Valley of the Country. Growing leaps and bounds, Bangalore stands to be one of the major metropolitan of India. Owing to it’s weather and greenery people flock in great in numbers to the city for it’s various raining opportunities. Staying aloof from the hussel and bussel of the other metropolitan cities, Bangalore stands home for many. The city takes pride in it’s growing heritage that has lasted for over decades now.

Although a lot is owed to the city for it’s beauty and mesmerizing effect it leaves on people, it still remains to be one of the most unorganized cities in the country. Bangalore’s technological boom paced faster than the city could chew onto. The variety of the social and economic diversity is highly prevalent through the pace at which the city moves. From the posh areas of Lavelle Road to the slums of Shivjinagar, Bangalore has grown to the riches and fallen back to the ashes. Chained in the clamps of westernization, the city broke into shambles with an alarming rate of poverty, loss of heritage, beauty and greenery. Loosing out on the fun elements of partying late night, or having a free road to drive on, the city has become the polluted city and is in known more as the garbage rather than the garden city.
But it’s time, Wake Up Namma Bengaluru, it’s time to break the shackles of your rose colored spectacles and bring in the dawn of reality into your lives! Growing from the beautiful Mayo Hall, that is known for it’s magnificent architecture, into the dreamy lands of U.B city, Bangalore has sure revived. But to the amazement of people looking down memory lane, Commercial street and Brigade road yet prove to be the largest hubs of the city, turning from looking like an English rose, to a scarlet pimpernel.
What is the youth doing? Whiling away their time in intoxication, or idealizing about their perfect romantic date? Sure the city will have things left for them to party in and enjoy with. But alas what the generation forbears to realize is that, if they don’t save and revitalize their city Who Will? Unless you wake up, step out and save your city, the day will not be far when we would be looking at Bangalore crumbling into dust.

So awaken citizens of the city, without underestimating the power vested in you, rise up, and help the city grow. Small actions lead to humongous results, charity hence begins at home. Begin with the smallest of your efforts, and take on to changing the color of how the world looks at your city. Take a leap, make a small change and ensure the impact is as dramatic as the weather of your city. Beauty in all forms, and eye candy to all is everything you need to aim. Because as John Keats puts it “beauty is truth, and truth beauty, that’s all ye know and all ye need to know on earth my friend!”
