"Evie? You awake?" I hear Ryker outside my room. "Yea I'm up! Come in!" I smiled at him as he opened the door, ran in, and jumped on the bed next to me. He immediately started tickling me and I was out of breath in seconds. "Ah...Ryker! Stop...please...I can't...breath!" I said in between laughs. "Guess what today is!" He said excitedly. "What?" "You have to guess!" "Ummm my dog's birthday?" I asked sarcastically even though I don't even own a dog. "No silly! You get to go out on patrol with me today!" "Omg really?!" I leaped up and ran to get dressed, not bothering to take a shower now because we'll be taking a run. I wear a neon green sports bra and tank top and some black running shorts with green stitching. I pulled my hair back and left my closet to meet Ryker in the kitchen. Ryker had made pancakes and sausages. He turned around from the stove and growled at me. "Your not wearing that! Go put on more clothes!" He grumbled out. "No! We're gonna be getting hot and I don't want to have a lot of clothes on." "NO! Your changing!" "Then you are too!" "What?!" "That's right. If I can't wear a sports bra then you can't go shirtless." "Ugh fine you can wear that." We ate breakfast and left the house.
We raced through the woods feeling the wind in our fur and the dirt beneath our paws! It was amazing! We were running along when I saw something in the distance and slammed to a stop as fast as I could. I got in a defensive position and growled lowly at the intruder. Ryker finally saw what my problem what and followed suit. What looked to be a little shewolf was just walking out of the brush. She sniffed the ground and backed up off our territory, she hadn't noticed us yet. Ryker and I shifted and walked up to her. "Hello. My name is Ryker Dare, future alpha of the Mountain Stone pack." She bowed down in respect and looked at us pleadingly. She went and shifted and when she came back I was astonished at what I saw. She was covered in cuts, scrapes, bruises, and there was a deep slice in her arm. "Come now follow us!" We carried her to the pack doctor where she could get treatment. After dropping her there we went to see Mr. Dare.
"This is strange. But she was respectful of our boundaries?" "Yes Dad, she sniffed and backed up." "Hmmm...we'll ask her if she wants to join the pack and go from there. You should get back to patrol!" Before heading back out we ate lunch, blt's and root beer.

At about two I had to head over to Dan's to work with my three trainees. Ryker offered to drive me and I accepted. "Hey Ry?" "Yes Love?" "There's...um...this thing this weekend...and um well...theresarodeothisweekendandireallywanttogo!" I blurted out quickly. He still doesn't know what I really do. "There's a what? You need to slow down. Whatever it is you can go as long as I'm there to protect you." Well he can't protect me from the bronc I'll be riding. "I want to attend the Browns Valley Rodeo this weekend." "Oh that sounds like a blast!" "Yay!"
He dropped me off at Dan's and I start working with the colt first.
After working for an hour on the colt's skills I hopped on Willow. We started the canter and she did amazingly. After I finished up with little Willi I started with the barrel horse. She was definitely in need of some training. I worked and worked until we could get around just the first barrel smoothly.

Ryker you will be alpha soon! You need to start taking on alpha responsibilities!" I was getting the second degree from my dad at the moment because of all the playing around I've been doing. "But dad I'm just hanging out with my mate! Whom I just met!" "Ok but now it's time for responsibility!" "Alright alright! Now I have to go get my mate! She's at work." "What does she do for 'work'?" "She trains horses!" I shout as I run out the door.
