"I am guessing you know that you are not less than an hour late for your 'orientation classes'."

"I really tried to get on time! It was my birthday and they had these surprises for me. And of course all those regular rituals of birthday!! C'mon Mike! It's not my fault completely!"

There i go bantering again. He has all his reasons to shout at me.

"Can you stop bantering for now?" Whoa the chill in his voice felt like it will freeze me to hell and back.

"But you are always shouting at me! That is not even fair! I mean it's cool and stuff that you are coming along with me to kinda help me feel less anxious"

"Whatever! I am not hearing what you are saying!"

I don't know why he loathes to admit the good he has been doing for me. Well he says he hates me and I say 'Feelings mutual!'.

"Do you want me to come up to the gate to drop you off?"

Huh?! That's a surprise! He just offered to walk 400 meters more for me. And moreover he decided to waste his ever so precious time for me. If this is not creepy, I don't know what is. Okay! Enough my little me! I am supposed to reply his question not planning my defense tactics to save my life.

"I will watch out for booby traps that you've set to probably make me into two halves."

"Yep you better watch out idiot."

So he ended up walking with me up to the gate as he told. The 5 min journey was filled with sneers,  sarcasms and plots for my death. Finally the gate of my doom arrived.

"You like chocolates?", he asked.

"Is that even a remotely sensible question to ask? By the way it's my birthday so shouldn't I be the one who must be asking that question?" and I glared at him. What? He just asked the dumbest ever question.

Without a word he handed me a bar of chocolate.

"Don't get into trouble."

"I will try not to."

Off he went leaving me feeling all alone.
