Two people are sitting on the bench,
a boy and a girl.
They sat on the bench for a while,
they'd share a laugh,
they'd share a joke,
they'd share stories,
they'd share everything.
Then one day, the boy stood up and leave,
he didn't really left, he'd drop by once in a while
and talk to the girl like he never left,
then he'd leave again, then he'd drop by again,
but he'd always leave.
The girl just sits there patiently,
waiting for the boy.
She looks forward every time the boy drops-by.
The drops-by are frequent, sure it'll falter every now and then,
but he'd come around.
The girl wants the boy to stay and sit with her,
so she asked him.
He said no.
He said "there are things out there that are more exciting than just sitting in this bench."
The girl asked "then why do you keep coming back?"
He answered "because I feel sorry for you."
Then the girl gave the whole thing a big thought.
She analyzed and observed.
She realized that she has feet and decided to up and go.
Then the boy came back to the bench,
but didn't find the girl there sitting.
She's gone.
There has been times when their paths crossed by that bench,
they'd sit for a while
share a laugh
share a joke
share a story
but at the end of the day,
They'd both leave in separate ways.
They know there's a solution to this.
They could sit together and leave together.
They could be together and experience new things together.
They know all of this, but neither want to initiate.
