Chapter 2

The Next Day

Recap:

After he slapped me he started  to laugh wickdley, so I moved out of his grip and torwards the front door.  I quickly opened it and slammed it hard behind me.

Man this is going to be one long day!!!...

I woke up early the next moring, it was still night time since the moon was shining bright outside in the dark sky, trying to peek through the tiny gaps in the curtains.

It must be about 4:00am.

I get my phone from the side it read

3:49am

Yes this could be my chance to escape and run away to start a new life!

I know your probably thinking 'Why didn't I escape years ago?!?' Well I couldn't sinec, everyday I get a lift to college and there are locks on the front door.

However, Jeff hasn't put locks on my bedroom window but Jeff smart he knows I won't jump out of my windown because he knows I'm afraid of heights and also that if I jump I may possibly break bones since my bedroom is on the second floor.  So I'm going to use my hair pin and try to unlock the front door.

Luckily Jeff is out at the pub so he should not be a problem.

I hope!

I already have everything that I want to take with me since, I have been planning this day since day one.

I quickly got out of my cosy, warm bed and walked a cross the cold wooden floor. I walked over to my closet and picked out some new clothes to wear.

When I was dressed I quickly brushed my chocolate brown curls and shoved them up into a messy bun.

I then shoved on my shoes and grabbed my bag full of my stuff I needed and my phone, then I quietly opened my bedroom door and ran down the long hallway to the stairs.

I was about to go down the stairs when the front door barged open.

"Shit!" I whispered to myself quietly.

It was Jeff! Damn I am just going to try and sneak past him and then leg it out the door!

I watched Jeff wobble over to the living room looking very drunk, while mumbling something quietly under his breath.

I quietly and stealthily creeped down the long staircase, trying carefully not to make a noise.

All a sudden the step that I was on squeaked quite loudly, "Dammit! Please Jeff don't come over here and check it out!"I mumbled,  worrying that Jeff might of heard me.

"Who’s there?!?"Jeff called slurring his words rather slowly.

Man that man drunk!

~~☆JEFF'S POV☆~~

"Who’s there?!?"I slurred slowly wobbling over to where I had heard the noise.

I couldn't see anything because I was so drunk,  so I decided to go back to the sofa and take a nap. As I sat down everything started going blurry, them the next thing I know is that I have passed out.

~~☆KATES POV☆~~

I saw Jeff wobble over to where I was, so I quickly ran over to the coats which were hanging on a hook on the wall and hide underneath them, hoping he didn't see me.

I slowly peeked out to see that Jeff had gone back to the sofa and had passed out, so I creeped over to the front door to see whether Jeff had forgotten to lock it or not, because he was so drunk.

To my relief it was unlocked! I opened the door and ran as fast as I could, not bothering to look back.

Lots of thoughts were going through my head at that moment but, I decided that I would try and to ignore them. All that matters is that, I'm was free at last!.....
