It's 7 AM. Lorraine wakes up before her alarm goes and she turns it off. She sits up in bed and stretches herself out yawning. She thought about her dream of that night about what had happened earlier that night. She'd dreamt of Damian mostly. When she thought of him she had the feeling of butterflies flying around in her stomach. He was so beautiful! Damian was a 6 ft. tall guy and he was muscled. Broad, but not so wide that you wouldn't be able to look around him. He had dark brown hair that was in between being long and short and was cut in a wild model. As if he'd just gotten out of bed, but in a good way. And his eyes! They were set perfectly in the middle of his face. They were a dark green and almond shaped. He had long, beautifully curling eyelashes and his eyebrows were shaped in a gentle curve. His mouth was beautifully shaped and had full lips. Lorraine thought of how it would be to touch those full lips. What would it be like to peck them? She blushed at that thought and sighed deeply. She climbed out of bed and got herself ready for school. She took a shower and dressed herself. She put on white tight capri jeans, and a white camisole with spaghetti straps and a fuchsia top over it with a deep neckline (hence the camisole) and under the chestline the top was decorated with shirt studs. She put on fuchsia pumps with high heels that matched her top perfectly. She put in silver earrings that were decorated with tiny dark pink gems. Everything matched. She brushed her long, honey blonde hair and put it up in a bun, leaving a couple of strands out that fell elegantly. She left a lock of her pony out for it to fall down her face. Then she put make up on her face using quiet colors that accentuated her clothes. Lorraine was a slim built girl of 17 with a beautiful, symmetrical face. She had bright blue eyes, almost unnaturally blue Her eyes were almond shaped. She was well shaped, the kind of girl that almost every guy checks out. Everything was well balanced.

Lorraine looked at the clock and startled. It was ten to eight already! She started at eight thirty and she still had to have breakfast and order her cab. Yes, you read that right. Lorraine went to school by cab. She had awfully loaded parents who both owned their own companies. Her mother was the CEO to several department stores. Kinda like Macy's. Her father owned several electronic department stores. So there was enough money, so much that Lorraine wouldn't be able to spend it all in her entire life. And yeah, what to do with so much money? Lorraine walked to her wireles house phone and ordered a cab. The cab would arrive at 10 past 8. That meant she had about 20 minutes to have breakfast and pack her bag. She packed her bag quickly. Then she went downstairs and quickly worked a bowl of Frosted Flakes with milk down her throat. She walked through the kitchen and collected her lunch. A bottle of Vittel (water), an apple, a pack of Milk-Break cookies and 2 muesli bars. Then she quickly ran upstairs to get a white vest. While walking she put the vest on. "Oh, Lorraine, what are you doing to yourself? You don't even know if he notices you and you're already bending over backwards. Keep your head cool! That you've liked him for ages doesn't mean that he'd even look at you." she thought to herself. Having arrived downstairs she grabbed her bag and at that time a car honked. The cab had arrived. Lorraine quickly checked if she had everything and then she hurried outside.

At school Lorraine could barely wait for lunchbreak to come around. She could bare concentrate during classes. That came in handy, having the final exams coming up soon. Her thoughts were filled with Damian and the questions she'd ask him later on. When the bell finally rang, Lorraine left the classroom as soon as she could. She told her friends off with a lame excuse and hirried to the emerency exit of the auditorium. After having waited for 5 minutes she saw Damian walking down the stairs. "Hi" she said and she walked up to him. He looked different. Last night he'd had red edges around his eyes, crimson red, like blood, that was gone now. And his face expression was much softer. "Hey" said Damian. "Let's go, we don't have much time." he added. The lunch break lasted 45 minutes. His voice sounded different. The raw, husky edge was off and there was a deep, warm voice in its place. Lorraine noticed all of these things, but she decided to pretend she hadn't noticed for now. She'd confront him later. "Okay" said Lorraine as if she hadn't noticed anything and she followed him through the emergency exit down the fire escape and crossing the schoolyard. They walked around the building. "Where are we going?" Lorraine asked. "Just come along, I know this place we can sit and talk without being disturbed." Damian replied and he continued walking. They left the schoolbuilding behind and walked towards a secluded building. This was the "forbidden area" a big shack that was used by students to make fire at night and play other tricks, which was forbidden ofcourse. The building, that had been used for storage in tehe past had caught fire once. The building didn't suffer too much damage, but enough to be declared strictly forbidden terrain for students. The building had decayed a bit and had gotten dirty and dusty. When Lorraine realised where they were heading she stopped abruptly. "We aren't going to that old, nasty shack, are we?" she asked Damian. "You guessed that right" said Damian and he kept walking as if nothing was the matter. "Wait!" exclaimed Lorraine, who had still been standing. Damian stopped and turned around. Lorraine walked up to him. "You don't think I'm gonna go in there, are you?" she asked him. She continued talking without giving him the change to reply. "I mean, it's NASTY in there! Haven't  you noticed that I'm a girl? I'm a clean and neat girl. Clean, neat girls DO NOT sit in dirty, old shacks!! Ew!" Lorraine wrinkled her nose as if she smelled something very nasty. Her gaze went to the old storage place and then to Damian. She looked at him sweetly. "Can't we go somewhere else? Somewhere cleaner? Please?" she pleaded in her sweetest voice with her most beautiful smile on her face and a persuasive look in her eyes." Damian looked at Lorraine as if he felt sorry for her. Then, smiling, he said: "No". The beautiful smile that Lorraine had flashed to Damian assuming that he'd budge in ;every guy budged at that smile,at least, all of them had until now; disappeared like snow in the summer. The persuasive look changed to one of anger and Lorraine clouded her face. "WHAT?!" she said angrily and on a loud tone. "HELLO?? Don't you care about my clothes getting dirty and smelling bad? And my HAIR!? Do you know long it took me to look this good? Well???" She angrily continued throwing her tantrum,  with a inscreasing voice volume. "DON'T STAND THERE STARING AT ME LOOKING DUMB! YOU LOOK LIKE A FRIGGIN COW!" Lorraine ranted. "Well, are you going to answer me or what?" she asked, being slightly out of breath from throwing her tantrum. "You'll give me a heart-attack one of these days." she muttered. "Wow" said Damian. "You sure do know how to throw a tantrum! But, no, you're really gonna have to go in there. Just come along, you'll see that it'll turn out better than you think." he said and he entered the shack. After a couple of steps he turned around and asked: "Are you coming?" "Yes, but one more thing though. If I don't look decent when we come back out of this place, there'll be hell!" Lorraine said. "Whatever you want" said Damian indifferently and he turned around and carried on. Lorraine trudged after Damian defeated, squeaking 'ew!' or 'eek!' several times.when she'd walked through a cobweb face-first again. They were walking down a not too long corridor, turned left and walked towards a dead end. Lorraine opened her mouth to scold at Damian, but he beat her to it. "Hang on" he said. He pulled on a piece of wallpaper that was coming off that wasn't conspicuous if you didn't know it was there. Behind the wallpaper was a button. Damian pushed the button and the wall turned leftwards, opening like a door. They walked through and the wall closed behind them. They were standing in a big room with a big couch, a couple of chairs, a comfortable pouffe, a fridge and a tv on the wall. Lorraine stood there blown away, looking at the room with eyes as big as small platter and highly raised eyebrows. It even had a toilet! It was actually a mini-apartment. "What...how..." Lorraine stammered. "I'll tell you some other time. Have a seat. We don't have much time left, it's a quarter past twelve." said Damian. Lorraine settled herself on the big couch, that was black and very comfortable. Damian settled himself in a comfortable chair, not too far away from Lorraine. Lorraine took her lunch out of her bag and offered Damian some of it. "Would you like some of this?" she asked. "No, thanks, go ahead and eat. I'd rather get started with this, get it over with." he said. "Okay", Lorraine replied and she took her bottle of water. She put the rest back in her bag. She had something else than food on her mind right now. She took a small sip of water. "Well, what do you want to know?" Damian asked reluctantly. Lorraine pretended to be thinking and said: "Well, for a start...What are you?" She looked Damian right in the eyes. Damian looked right back at her. "I'm a vampire. Or actually, a halfvampire" he answered.
