First Date (Part 2)

Silver smiled to herself as she walked away from the now deflated hot air balloon. The last two hours she had flown over fields, forest, sea and untouched land just as a bird does when it's in flight. It must have cost a fortune to arrange but she would not think about that. Louis had done this for her, and that gave her a warm tingly feeling all over.

He was holding her hand as they walked towards the out building Louis had parked next to. It was nearing 2pm when she was buckled into the car next to Louis and they were driving back onto the main road. "So are you ready for the next part of the date?" asked Louis. Silver turned to him "There's more" she replied. "Of course there is, I asked you out for the day and we have plenty of hours still left to fill."

Louis turned the stereo on as he drove along the country roads towards the next rendezvous point. He hoped that Silver would relax even more in the next part of the day so he could kiss her the way he desperately wanted to. Silver listened along to the music playing and thought about the day so far. She had never been on a date before but she was starting to believe Louis did really like spending time with her.

Louis pulled the car off the road and entered a private driveway. Silver could see the glistening water in front of her and the pale sand of a secluded beach and was surprised to see nobody else on it. Again Louis came round to help her out of the car, he took her hand and walked slowly to the fine sand at the start of the beach. "Why is it so empty here" she enquired, "Well I made the decision that I wanted you all to myself today so I found a couple of activities where we could be totally alone. This is a private beach and it is all ours for the rest of the day."

He guided Silver towards a single cabana situated on the small beach surrounded by sand dunes. He opened the door to reveal a small seating area with a large leather sofa, a small table and chairs for dining and a kitchen area. Louis motioned for her to sit down on the sofa whilst he made his way into the kitchen. He opened the fridge and removed a glass pitcher full of cloudy lemonade and poured two glasses. He then removed a large platter full of cold meats, cheeses, fruit and salad items. He placed all of the items in the middle of the small dining table and returned with plates and cutlery.

He walked over to Silver and bent down to hold both her hands "Are you hungry?" he enquired. Silver held onto his hands and pulled herself up "Yeah, I guess I am" she replied. Louis smiled and guided her towards the table, he pulled out a chair and eased it back in as she sat. He took his seat round the other side of the table and they both began to dig in to delicious looking food in front of them. Silver was the first one to break the silence that had enveloped the room.

"Louis, can I ask you a question and will you give me an honest answer" she enquired. Louis looked at Silver directly in the eyes and truly stated "Of course, I will always be honest with you. Go ahead". Silver smiled and asked her question "You have really gone to a lot of trouble today, and don't get me wrong I'm having a wonderful time but where is this, I mean us, going?"

He considered his response for a few seconds before speaking "I'm not sure where we are going, when I asked you on this date it truly was because I wanted to get to know you better. I do know this though, I think you are an amazing, beautiful person and the more I am with you, the more I want to be with you. I understand that this is new to you Silver and I am willing to take things real slowly with us, but I suppose what I want to know is if you are open to the possibility of there being an us?"

Silver looked at Louis and smiled at him "This is not something you can do by reading a book is it" she expressed. Louis got out of his seat and came round to her, he pulled her up out of her seat and placed both hands on her waist. "You don't get the same feelings or emotions from reading a book. I know it can be a bit scary sometimes having experiences that bring out feelings that have never been felt before, but trust me, you will like the way they make you feel."
