Marinette woke up sleepily. It was 7 AM. 'Great, woke up just in time.' She thought. She got dressed and went downstairs.

"Good morning mom, dad." She said as she sat down to eat her breakfast. Her mom smiled. "Good morning sweetheart." Then she paused for a moment, as if she was going to tell her something.

Marinette looked at her mom, then to her dad. "Is there something wrong?" She asked. Her mother gave her a sheepish smile. "No it's nothing. I'll talk to you about after you come home from school." She said.

"Well alright then, your going to be late if you continue staling around Mari." Her dad said as she stared at the fork. Her gaze broke off from the fork and looked at her dad. "Oh, yeah. Sorry dad. I'll get going now."

She said, and stood up. She picked up her bag and kissed her parents cheeks. "Goodbye!" She yelled as she went out to walk to school.

Sabine sighed and sat down to a chair. "Oh Tom, how are we going to tell her?" She said. "Don't worry sweetie, we'll find a way. It's already arranged anyway. We have to tell her no matter what." Tom said as he patted his wife's back softly.

Hey girl! Alya said as she saw Marinette running towards her direction. "Hey Alya." She panted. "Wow Mari, why did you ran? Isn't your house like, I dunno, a block away or something?" "Yeah, I just didn't wanted to be late." Alya grinned. "Well, your not late. But class is about to start. So we better get going." She said. "Alright, let's go." Marinette said, and they walked to class.

School was over, and everyone was going home. Marinette and Alya were next their lockers, talking and getting their stuff (their homework). "Hey, do you wanna hang out? If you have nothing to do, that is." Marinette asked her best friend Alya.

"I would love to, but I can't." She said. Marinette raised an eyebrow. "Why? What are you gonna do?" She asked. Alya grinned. "I got a date." She said while pointing at Nino, who winked at Alya when he saw her. Marinette smirked. "Damn, your lucky. I want to have a boyfriend too!" She whined. "Don't worry girl, you will have a boyfriend soon!"

Marinette smiled. "Anyway, have fun at your date. And tell me the details later! Bye!" She said as she picked up her bag and started walking home. Bye to you too!" Alya yelled back, smiling.

Mom! Dad! Im home!" Marinette yelled as she entered the house. Her dad smiled.
"Hey hun. How was school?" She shrugged. "It was fine, as always." (Btw Chloe isn't a bitch, but one of Marinette's close friends in this book) "That's nice Mari." Her dad said.

Then her mom entered the room. Her dad and mom looked at each other for a moment, then looked at Marinette. "Okay, there is something wrong. What is it?" She said, starting to get worried.
Her mother sat down to the couch, gesturing Marinette to sit down next to her.

"Marinette, there is something that me and your dad have to tell you..." her mother said. "What is it mom? Is there something wrong?" "No, no there isn't anything wrong. It's just that–well, you haven't dated anybody before, and you still aren't..."

"Yeah, well, so? Was this it? Me not having a boyfriend?" "No-no it's not that. Me and your dad thought that we had to change that." Marinette raised an eyebrow. She wasn't liking were this was going. Did they found her a boyfriend or something?
He mom exhaled.

"Marinette, you're getting married."
