~ Liam's POV ~
I walked through the busy, busy aisles of my first American supermarket. Man, these things get crowded. Wait, what was that thing Liz said about US supermarkets? That they tend to get crowded on Saturdays? Well, she's absolutely right.
Why am I at an American supermarket rather than at the new house, helping the guys unpack? Well, I sort of got separated from them on the way to the house. I guess it was the tricky New York traffic and the not-helpful power of my GPS that should take the blame. But I ended up at a supermarket and was about to call Liz to come rescue me, until I realized we probably wouldn't have any food at the house, so I decided to swing in and pick up some stuff.
Bad idea when you're a native Britain.
I was grabbing a box of cereal for tomorrow morning when a figure passed by the aisle. I glanced over curiously.
It was a young gal, in a black t-shirt and skinny jeans, wearing a black beanie and toting an iPod. She met my gaze when it happened. She stood there for a moment, just watching me. Her eyes seemed to get bigger over the seconds.
Is this a fan? If so, a calmer fan.
An absolutely gorgeous fan.

~ Liz's POV ~
"Hey! Look!" I pointed, "Zayn's fave place #2!"
It was a Subway. Perfect for a bunch of guys picky on having something still from home.
"Remember American road rules," I added as Louis switched lanes to get to the sub shop off the road. Road etiquette was different in England, with all the driving on the opposite side of the road and all. The thought of Louis receiving a ticket for reckless driving on the first day driving on a US highway didn't comfort me, so whenever I sensed Louis was losing his American driving knowledge, I always jumped in and pointed out things. We didn't need another driving incident after what happened during the making of the "What Makes You Beautiful" video when the guys put Louis in charge of driving the Mini Cooper S...
"Excellent!" I cheered when Louis finally parked in front of the Subway.
"I feel like I'm in driving school again.." he snickered as we exited the car.
"Liz's American School of Drive."
"But where's the school?" he laughed under his breath as he held the door of the fast food joint for me to enter.
"There isn't one. I'm so good at teaching you the basic, there's no need for one."
"Good. Because school is not cool. Lou is cool."
"That's a good thing to teach your younger fans.." I sighed as we reached the line, "Now what to get.."
"Well, Niall's a big eater, so I'd get him two - "
"We're not getting him two. If he wanted double, he would've told me and given me extra cash."
"...and Harry's slightly allergic to tomatoes, and Zayn doesn't like ham and..."
"We'll just go with the regular. I don't want to be complicated," I decided when we reaached the front of the line, "Six of the number three's please. Hold the tomatoes on one and ham on another." As the cashier typed our order, I realized it, "Oh wait! There's dinner! Double that order, please." I said sheepishly.
I wasn't surprised when the cashier looked up at me weirdly. Who orders twelve subs anway? Let alone six. Especially when there are only two people present.
"Sure..." he finally said and hit the multiplier button on the register.
"Do you guys have carrots?" Louis asked suddenly from beside me.
"Uhm... We have diced carrots, that we usually use on our salads.." the cashier replied, still completely odded out by us.
"I'll take some of those," Louis said, then snapping a finger to point at the cashier, "On the sub, please."
Now we've really scarred the cashier for life, "Yes sir... Yes..." and typed it on the register, "Your order will be ready soon."
"Thanks a lot, lad!" Louis thanked before we stepped away to the side to wait.
"No wonder the only person you've impregnated is a pigeon..." I sighed, leaning up against a counter.
"Kevin was a very fine pigeon."
"Obviously.." I laughed sarcastically.
"Hey, I wonder if Liam will be there when we get back.." Louis mentioned after we had received our food and we were exiting Subway.
"I don't know. Hopefully," we got into the car, "I hope nothing's wrong.."
"Aah, no way," Louis said, backing out his car, "Liam knows how to handle anything. He was in the scouts."
"Compare scouts to New York."
He paused, "You do have a point."
"Well, let's just hope for the best. We may be worrying for nothing."
"Absolutely."
