I'll tell you the story of the girl who brought rain. I'll also tell you the story of how the rain stopped; and again, I'll tell you of how it started again.

She was born on a stormy night, and I guess it stayed with her until she met the one who stopped it. The moment she laid her eyes on him, everything stopped and she was, for the first time, able to see the sun. It was a feeling she couldn't explain and a scene she was lost for words. All she knew, that it was a beautiful start, not realizing that every start has its end.

Who I am is not important, because this story is about her. And who am I, you ask?

My name is Gray Fullbuster and I was the one who stopped Juvia Lockser's rain.

Raindrops tapped the ground and so did mine and my friend's footsteps. We stopped near the bike racks, and my eyes eyed the door six meters away from us.

Damn this rain on a very important day, I thought and my eyes traveled to my friend; she was checking her hair out, trying to dry it. Her beautiful brown eyes were planted worriedly on her white polo blouse. My angel.

"My clothes can't get wet," my angel complained to herself but I heard it. I traveled my eyes from her head to toes; her white blouse was wet, embracing her slim figure and outlining her bra in which my face flushed red. Her red skirt was also wet and her black shoes were kissed by the mud.

"Hey, Lucy," I muttered and her eyes moved from the dark clouds to met my dark blue ones, "How about I run to the school and maybe borrow an umbrella from someone and I'll run back here to get you?"

"Really?" Her eyes sparkled and my heart skipped a beat, "That would be wonderful, thank you very much, Gray!"

"Y-yeah," I said and raised my hand to my nose, covering my red cheeks, "No problem."

I sprinted to the door.

Lucy Heartfilia, my angel, who sees me as a best friend, was the only girl, at that time, who made me fall in love. We have been best friends for a long time and ever since the start of our beautiful friendship, my love for her grew.

She was wealthy but it all fell apart when her mother died and his father started being a drunkard. I knew she didn't want the people to talk about her more so I understood that she wanted to make a good impression on this very start of the school year.

She was battling a battle on her own, and I wanted to be there for her so that when the battle ends, she could see a potential in me other than being a best friend.

In that very same day, I met the Rain Woman.

A little information about me - I hate mysteries. I hate suspense.

One spoiler; the rain woman was going to die, but not at least in the next nine months or so. How did she die? You'll find out eventually.

I met her that day, and her name is Juvia Lockser. But I didn't know that yet when I picked up the umbrella for Lucy.

"Hey, Mayura, can I borrow that umbrella?" I asked an old classmate and she did nothing but nod and told me to leave it by her shoe locker later. I said a quick thanks and ran out to go get Lucy. It was still pouring, and this time it was even worse.

Not even five steps away from the door, I bumped into someone hard. It was the Rain Woman.

I only stumbled back three steps but the person fell into the ground. A full body contact on the ground.

I saw my yellow umbrella and a blue umbrella collide and it seemed like time was faster than usual. Both umbrellas fell into the ground and I saw the person's face.

A girl; blue eyes, oval shaped face and thin pale lips.

The moment our eyes kissed each other, the rain stopped.

I wanted to look away, but there was something in her eyes that made me stick. Her face was sun-kissed. Finally, she moved her eyes away from me and stared at the sun. Her eyes widened.

She seemed intrigued. Fascinated. Enchanted. Charmed.

As if she had never seen a sunny day before.

Something made me stay. My feet were glued to the ground, pulling me in. Don't get me wrong, I wasn't in love, but there was something in her that kept me rooted to the ground. There was something in her face that kept pulling me.

Time wasn't slowing down.

Instead, time was going faster.

She looked at me with the same reaction plastered on her face. I realized that I had been standing there, staring at her for a long time. She kept staring at me until the glue in my feet peeled off. The bell rang in my ears.

We both flinched in surprise.

I reached my hand out to my umbrella. I reached my hand out to her, to help her stand up but her eyes didn't move away from my face. Slowly, my hand retreated. I felt embarrassed for some reason, but at the same time I didn't want to seem rude so I picked her umbrella and handed it to her. She still didn't move a muscle.

I placed it beside her.

Crap, I thought all of a sudden about Lucy, I totally forgot about her!

I turned to see Lucy jogging towards me. Once she reached me, we walked towards the door together. I gave the girl one last glance, she was still staring at me. I turned away and continued walking.

"The rain finally stopped," I commented for no reason.

Lucy nodded, "By the way, who was that girl?"

I shrugged, "Some girl," I said, and added with a chuckle, "who've probably never seen the sun before."

Lucy sang a small chuckle and we walked together to our classroom.

For me that was a normal day, but for the Rain Woman it was a beautiful start that would end brutally, or end in a savage death.

That day, we didn't know that it was the brutal fate playing with us.
