Chapter 10

The next day...

Hey y'all just to kinda fill y'all in. Last night I had slept over Devin's house and to be honest it was kinda awkward. I mean because like Dev would kept talking about Lauren and well you know how I like him? I mean well I just thought that maybe after he stopped crying that he would get over her. I guess not though, buhh I mean we still had a lot of fun. 

We watched movies downstairs, we ate ice cream, we also played a lot of games with jazzy and alexis. 

When I woke up, I quickly got out of Dev's bed ( not like that ) without waking him up and i went to the bathroom. When I got in there i took a quick shower, washed my face, brushed my teeth and stuff before he woke up. After all of that I changed my clothes and quickly but quietly walked out of his room. As I was walking down the hallway i heard some whispering so, you know my nosey self went to go check what was going on. 

When I got there I saw just Alexis and Jazzy kind of whispering but yelling at the same time? Is that what thats called? Im not sure but anyway they were actually talking kind of loud now so I had knocked on the door to make sure that it was alright to walk in before I had barged in on purpose. 

Anyway when they said that it was okay for me to walk in I did. " Hey guys I had came to tell yall that Devin was still sleep and I was just wondering if yall can quiet down a little bit because you know how he is when he wakes up. " " Hehe yea sure thing Lori " Jazzy sad quieter. " Yea girl we got you " Alexis said.

" Sorry for being kinda nosey but I was kind of wondering what yall were talking about. " I said kind of uneasy. " No its fine we were just taling about how you and Devin would make a great couple. " " Guys I mean I dont know because You know he just got out of a relationship and come on Im pretty sure that he doesn't like me. Like have you seen the girls that Devin has liked? I'm not like any of those girls. " 

" Lori thats okay not to be like any of those other girls. Thats why we love you, because you are not like those other girls. All of those other girls are snobby and rude and just, so full of themselves. They dont care about anyone else but, you do  you actually care about other people. " Alexis explained.  " If you were like that do you really think that we would tell you to date our brother? If we really thought that you were like that, why would we suggest that? " She continued.

" I mean I guess your right but I really don't think that he likes me because I mean look at me girl. Like he likes those girls wit natural long hair and I don't have that. My hair is really short and i always wear weave and stuff. " " But Lori all of that stuff doesn't even matter, you are pretty NATURALLY, and you can rock all of your hairstyles so your good, plus you have an amazing personality. " Jazzy said.

" Thanks that meant a lot. " I said very happily. " Well guys I'm gonna go downstairs and make breakfast..Do you guys want some or did yall already eat? " " Nah we had already ate but thank you anyway. " " No problem " and with that I had walked down the stairs.

When I had got downstairs I had quickly made some eggs, toast, bacon, and grits. By the time I was done Devin had just walked downstairs.The bad thing about him coming downstairs was the fact the he only had sweatpants and socks on. To tell you the truth I was in a trance like that boy got a body for days let me tell yall.

 But anyway we had sat down and started eating. While we were eating we were talking about how school was going and stuff like that. To be honest this is the first time i had seen him smile sense the break up. And right when he had smiled I started smiling like I dont know it just had made my day. Seeing him so happy just by me made me wanna cheer him up everyday.

After breakfast I had noticed how many dishes I had made so I had started on washing the dishes. Right in the middle of rinsing off my plate had felt something or more like someone behind me. I had figured it was just it was jazzy playing a joke on me or something. But then i had realized that Jazzy and Alexis had left while me and Devin were eating and their parents weren't home so it was just me and Devin at home.

I quickly turned around and I jumped real quick. But when I saw Devin's face I wasn't scared anymore, I was more like sad. He was crying, right then and there he was just crying. I know that he wasn't just acting like a baby either.I mean I guess I get it because Him and Lauren had been together for  a while now. 

I just hugged him, told him to go upstairs and that I would be up there after making him tea. While I was making tea I thought of something. That maybe I need to set my feelings for Devin aside and just care for him, for a while.

Hey yall I know that I have been telling yall that i will be updating buhh that one time my computer broke. and I have been busy wit alot of things buhh im trying to update as much as i can I love yall goodnight
