Chapter 1

Chapter 1: Alpha Arrival

August 9th,

Alpha Taylor called an emergency meeting for all of those in the pack house early on in the day. The walk to the meeting hall was one of curiosity from all the members on the Sunshine pack, including Amethyst and Cassidy.

"What do you think the meeting is going to be about?" Amethyst asked, chewing softly on his lip as he walked down the hall with his best friend. "I don't know, but Tanner was called in a few hours ago and I haven't heard from him yet so it's got to be pretty serious" The brunette named Cassidy responded. They walked the rest of the way to the meeting hall in silence. Everyone had a specific spot to sit in and as the Delta, Amethyst had to be up on the stage with his brother and his brother's wife. Cassidy and Amethyst took their seats, looking as professional as can be since they were being left in the dark by Alpha Taylor and Beta Snow.

Everyone silenced as the Alpha and Beta made their way center stage. The Alpha's loud voice was not covered and everyone was able to hear him clearly as he spoke to the crowd of nearly two hundred thousand wolves.

"Within the next few days, we will have two guests arriving from the Snow Cardinal Pack" He announced, his voice clear and strong as he heard whispers start to emerge in the crowd "Alpha and Alpha Female Jones are sending their youngest daughter and son to stay with us for a while. I want everyone to be on their best behavior and to show the up most respect. You are all dismissed" He said finally and the area suddenly got loud as people moved to leave the room. "Delta Snow" Amethyst heard from behind as he started to walk away with Cassidy and Tanner. He turned and bowed his head to Alpha Taylor.

"Yes Alpha?" he responded, turning his full body towards the man. Alpha Taylor was close to his age, only four years older, and was a lot taller. "I have a special mission for you. The youngest of the Alpha children is your age and will be attending your school. So can you watch over her and make sure she gets around all right?" Alpha Taylor asked of him. Amethyst was surprised and it was shown on his face making the alpha chuckle "You're the only one still in school that I can trust with this job, can you handle it?" he added "Yes of course Alpha!" he responded, a smile forming on his face.

"Alright, I'll have you two meet later so you can get acquainted. Keep an ear out for your phone. You are dismissed" Alpha Taylor said, sending Amethyst off with a wave. Amethyst met up with his brother and Cassidy soon after "So I'm guessing the Alpha told you what you needed to do?" Tanner said, chuckling as his brother had an extra skip in his step "And he said he trusts me!" Amethyst said happily as Cassidy joined in the chuckle. "Why wouldn't he?" Tanner decided to ask

"Because my mom is a doctor of a rival pack. He could think I'm going to poison him or something" Amethyst had said "Well are you?" "Of course not!" and the two then went off into their brotherly banter.

It was nearly three hours later before he got a text message from Alpha Taylor telling him to come downstairs. Amethyst stuffed his phone in his pocket and pulled on a dark blue hoodie to match his black skinny jeans and blue converse. He pushed his glasses up on his face and jogged down the stairs. "Delta Snow" he heard the voice of his alpha call as he stepped past the kitchen. He back tracked and stepped into the kitchen "Alpha Taylor" he said, bowing his head in respect. "Amethyst, this is Dessi Jones. Miss Dessi, this is Amethyst Snow, your escort for your time here" the Alpha introduced

"Pleasure to meet you Miss Jones" Amethyst said, bowing his head in respect for the Alpha child as well. "Please Amethyst, call me Dessi" The women said bashfully from the show of respect from a stranger "Yes of course" He said, a smile on his face. He studied her for a moment. She was a gorgeous young women. Dessi was slightly taller than himself and had long, wavy brunette hair and green eyes. "Why don't I give you a tour" Amethyst suggested "That would be lovely, have a good day Alpha Taylor" Dessi said as she walked out with Amethyst, the boy waving bye to the Alpha as well.
