A/N  Sorry if it's too weird, I'm just trying to find my style of writing.  If you like it could you tell me, if you don't, tell me to please?  Thanks guys!

A man and a woman are fighting, or really, the man is hitting the woman who is protecting herself.  A small child can be seen hiding under the table.

"How could you be so stupid Maryse!?!?"  the man yelled. "What kind of man doesn't want his child to talk to him?" The man swings at Maryse, the woman.  Maryse screams and ducks.  Under the table the child is heard crying.

"Rob, he just needs time to-" Maryse started, but stopped and screamed when the man, Rob, hit her in the jaw.  The little boy get out from under the table and Maryse, his mother, says "No Jack, go up to your room please, please, now," Maryse's tone is pleading, then a little commanding.

"NO!  Jack, stay here, you need to learn how to deal with a woman," Rob's voice is malicious and it sounds like he has a plan to keep Maryse quite for a while.

"Rob please, let him go, please," Maryse begs.  Rob doesn't seem to hear her plea's.  Before Maryse can say anything else, Rob grips her arm really tight and punches her stomach.  Jack runs upstairs even though Rob is yelling at him to come back down.  Maryse screams again and yells at Jack to lock the door.

Jack runs into his room and closes and locks the door behind him.  He turns and we see, not a bed room, but a garage with a mattress and a teddy bear.  The thermos on the wall says its 50 degree's in the garage.  The boy shivers and walks over to his bed trying to ignore his mother's screams.

"Dear God, please help Mother.  She needs someone right now and the only one I could think of was You.  Please help her leave this place for a better one, she needs that, she needs a good place.  Help her to forget about me when she's gone.  I don't want her to be in pain any longer here.  Thank you for my time with her, let her know it's OK to go.  In Your name, Amen,"  Jack laid down on his bed and fell into a restless sleep.

The next morning Jack finds his mother on the couch with bruises all over her body.  He takes the house phone and calls 911 to come pick up his mother.  What he hasn't realized yet is that there is nothing they can do, for God brought her to Him, and put Rob in jail.

When the police and an ambulance got there they asked the child if he had any family that he knew of.  The child said "No," but he knew his mother was planning to visit her sister in California.  Throughout all of this, the police were amazed at how calm Jack was.

"Son, how are you so calm?  You mother has passed and you no longer have a home,"  asked a police woman to Jack.

"Ma'am, I'm not worried because I prayed to God to save my mother from this place, and he has taken her to a better place,"
