(RINKATA'S POV)

The statue looked like a tree with no leaves on it. The area surrounding the statue was very very warm and I looked at the base of the statue. 'What's that?' There was a faint glow coming a hole.

I walked over to the hole and reached my hand in. When I pulled it out, I opened my hand to find green thingy that looked to be made of gear thingies.

"It's the innocence!" Allen said.

"This is innocence?" I looked at the innocence more closely. "It looks weird..."

"That's just what innocence looks like, Rin" Lenalee said, smiling.

Something cold and wet landed on my cheek. I wiped it off and looked up to the sky. "It's snowing!" I said in surprise. A smile formed on my lips.

Allen coughed and I turned my attention towards him. "Come on let's go to an inn and leave tomorrow."

We headed to an inn that was close to the edge of town. The others were glad to relax some before we left. I, on the other hand, couldn't stay in the inn. I told them that I was going to walk around for a little, Lavi offering to come with me but I said I wanted to be alone.

As I walked through the town, I noticed many people together. Some were young, others old. The more couples I seen, the more I thought about Lavi when he kissed me.

I could feel warmth creeping into my cheeks and I looked at the ground. I looked back up and something shiny caught my eye. I looked at the store with jewelry in the window. It was a really pretty green emerald on a necklace.

I stood there for a little while then started walking again. I didn't make it very far before someone grabbed me from behind.

(LAVI'S POV)

I was sitting on the bed waiting for Rinkata to come back. I stood up and the others looked at me.

"Where you going Lavi?" Allen asked.

"I'm going to go look for Rinkata. She's been gone for a while and it's getting dark." I walked out the door, putting a coat on because it was snowing.

I walked around looking for any sign of her. After about 20 minutes I started asking people if they seen a dark redheaded girl with dark eyes. I was beginning to get frustrated when I heard laughing. I looked at the two people talking to each other and it turned out to be Rinkata and another girl.

"Hey! Rinkata!" I ran over to her.

"Oh, hey Lavi." She looked back at the girl. "Saanka, you remember Lavi." The girl looked at me and smiled.

"Hello again Lavi. I hope you've been nice to Rin." I looked away.

Rinkata sighed and said, "Let's not talk about that..." she looked away scratching the back of her head. She then looked at me and asked, "Why are you here?"

"Oh right! I came looking for you because it was getting dark and I started to get worried."

She blinked then looked away with a slight blush creeping onto her face. Saanka looked at the both of us and the smile she had on widened. "I guess I should head back, the kids will be upset if I don't get back tomorrow." She laughed, smiled and waved as she took off, leaving Rinkata and I alone. We stood there for a second longer before Rinkata started to walk away.

"You coming?" I followed her.

As we walked back to the inn, I noticed that she slowed down her pace while we were walking past a jewelry shop. After catching herself, she picked back up her pace.

By the time we got back to the inn, Lenalee was sleeping in one bed and Allen in the other. Rinkata walked towards the bed that Lenalee was in and crawled next to her. 'Guess that leaves me with Allen...' I sighed to myself and went to bed. I feel asleep shortly after laying my head down.

~next morning~

I woke up before everyone else. I stretched and began waking Allen up. He mumbled a bit then said "What?"

"Wake everyone up for me, I have to go take care of something."

"What is it that you have to take care of?" I just shook my head and walked out the door.

(RINKATA'S POV)

By the time I got up (thanks to Allen) Lavi had already headed out to do who knows what. He flirted with a few girls while we were on this mission, I sighed just thinking about the poor girl he's flirting with.

The three of us headed to the train and waited for Lavi.

Some minutes later and the train's horn was heard. It was about to take off and just then Lavi came running over. I sighed and laughed at him and we all boarded the train.

"So Lavi, what did you have to do that took so long?" I asked him.

"What are you talking about?" he asked nonchalantly.

"You know exactly what I'm talking about..." I said, giving him a skeptical look.

"No idea." I sighed.

I crossed my arms behind my head. "Whatever." I closed my eyes and went to sleep.

"Rin? Oh Rin~"

I opened my eyes slowly and looked into one green eye. I snapped my eyes open seeing that the eye belonged to Lavi. He was close to my face and my face turned red. "W-What do you want? And didn't you learn your lesson last time?"

He looked confused at first then realized what I meant and backed up, face turning red. He looked away and said, "We're almost at the Order." I nodded my head and looked out the window.

We got off the train, headed towards the Order, and walked into Komui's office where he grabbed Lenalee and cried about sending her on the mission. We reported it and headed to the cafeteria to get some food.

I walked up to Jerry and placed an order and walked to sit next to Lenalee. I began to eat my food as Lavi slid in next to me.

"Hey Rin!" he beamed. "What are you eating? It looks good." He reached to take part of my sandwich but I smacked his hand away.

"It's mine."

He pouted. "But I want some, " he whined.

"To bad," I laughed. I took a bite of it and went "mmmmm Sooooo good."

"Now you're just being mean..." his pout returned. I swallowed the mouthful of food and laughed. He was quite for awhile and I looked at him. He was staring at me intently.

"Why are you staring at me?"

"I have something for you..." he reached into his pocket for something then his eye widened. "Shit! it must have fell out... I'll be right back," he said, getting up to leave but Bookman came in and stopped him from going anywhere.

"Is this what you're looking for, Lavi?" Bookman asked.

Lavi looked at him for a minute. "Let's talk in the hall you old fart." They walked away.

"What the hell was that about?" I asked Allen and Lenalee.

They looked at each other, smiled and shrugged their shoulders. "Don't know~" Lenalee said.

I sighed. Short while later, both of them come back in, Lavi smiling and Bookman shaking his head. I was about to open my mouth to say something but Lavi grabbed me by my arm and made me stand up.

"Rinkata, I got this for you while on our mission." He handed me a black colored box. I looked up at him. "Open it," he said.

I did just that and was shocked by what was in the box...
