THE ENCHANTRESS WRITER CALLED.. SHYL ZARAH

SHYL ZARAH, I hailed her as the ENCHANTRESS. Why? Because as a writer, she was able to cast spells on her readers. Sa bawat kabanata ng kanyang mga nobela, natatagpuan ng mga mambabasa ang kanilang mga sarili na nagiging parte na rin ng mga heroines (at heroes) sa kanyang mga akda. She was able to make readers symphatize with RAIA, in SCENT AND KISSES, when ZACH planned a gangbang 'coz of Sitri (actually, Scent and Kisses, is still on-going when I did this interview); in ETERNA series, nararamdaman nila ang mala-pantasyang pag-iibigan nina MARU at ANJEA;  sa DEALING WITH A TYRANT, natuwa sila when CATHERINE made a decision of dealing with VIEL; at sa A NIGHT WITH HIM naman, hindi tayo binigong pakiligin nina REEZE at MARCUS sa kanilang maling pagtatagpo na nauwi sa pag-iibigan.

She became synonymous to the word romance, gothic, and fantasy when her novels successfully captivated the hearts and imaginations of the online readers.

She became, "TALK OF THE TONGUE" among online readers and writers. Her novels, which are consistent the best, can be read by the whole world via facebook and wattpad.

But in real life, Shyl Zarah's still a real person, whom co-writers describe her as mabait at pasensyosa and whose passion for her craft is insurmountable.

And now, in behalf of Shyl Zarah, I, Witch Elle, gives you a chance to get to know LBOS' Pride and one of their golden writer in this one-on-one interview. In this interview, she talks about her writing, her personal life and her career as a writer

Witch Elle: Who is the person behind Shyl Zarah?

Shyl Zarah: Just a simple girl who loves creating stories through her mind. Wala akong high status or something. Wala akong maipagmamalaking "bongga" sa real life ko.  Mayaman lang ako sa imahinasyon.

Witch Elle: Bukod sa mayaman ka sa imahinasyon, what made you decide to write novels in multiple genre?

Shyl Zarah: Honestly, I don't write based on genre. Kadalasan kasi, bigla na lang lumilitaw ang isang eksena o konsepto sa isip ko tapos unti-unti na lang nalilikha ang isang kwento. Any genre or theme. Sa huli ko na lang nare-realize na multi-genre na pala ang naiisip kong story.

Witch Elle: Why did you choose Shyl Zarah as your pseudonym?

Shyl Zarah: 'Yong ZARAH ay kinuha ko sa maiden surname ng Lola kong sumakabilang-buhay na. SHYL ay kinuha ko sa talagang real first name ko.

Witch Elle: How long have you been writing?

Shyl Zarah: Since 12 years old. That makes it 10 years. Pero puro sa scratch papers lang ako nagsusulat dati. Sa online writing more than a year pa lang.

Witch Elle: Ano ang kauna-unahan mong nobela? Ano sa mga nobela mo ang tingin mong pinakapinahirapan ka? Ano rin ang nobela mo na talagang tumatak sa karamihang readers mo base sa kanilang mga komento?

Shyl Zarah: -first novel na natapos, HEARTS IN DENIAL. Pero short novel lang siya.

-pinahirapan ako ng DEALING WITH A TYRANT. As in napiga ang utak ko doon dahil masyadong mataas mag-isip ang mga characters at grabeng research din ang ginawa ko sa kwentong 'yon.

-ang talagang tumatak sa kanila ang ETERNA SERIES: THE CHANGELING. 'Yon din ang pinakapaborito ko sa lahat ng sinulat ko dahil lahat ng emosyon binigay ko talaga d'on. At hindi pa ako maka-move on sa kwento (lol)

Witch Elle: Eterna is one of the best series in the history of online stories, did you anticipate it? How did you come up with that idea?

Shyl Zarah: Not really. Ginawa ko ang Eterna pero wala sa isip ko kung may magbabasa o wala. Marami nang original storyline ang pinagdaanan niyan bago ako napunta sa love story nina Maru & Anjea. Pero naisip ko talaga ang "engkanto" concept kasi fascinated lang ako sa idea. Para kasing mysterious talaga ang dating. Besides, sarili natin siyang folklore.
