[SUMMARY]
York is not okay.A twenty-something that needs to get her life together after disappearing off the face of the Earth two years ago, she searches for "what happens next" in the chronicle of her life. Her family is overbearing, her best friend can't seem to notice how her heart skips a beat around him, and how that same best friend's conspiracy theories may have some truth behind them.
Then, the future arrives at her doorstep, bruised and battered.
Now, she's faced with odds that seem impossible to surpass—homophobes, sexist aliens, the possible end to the world, and the troubling ideology that women can't be feminine and kick butt at the same time.
But of course, York will always find a way.
[NOTE]
This is a challenge for @kingelsa about femininity. It's over the span of thirty days, so hopefully I'll update this daily. Very empowering this challenge, and I'll be very excited to be starting this. I'll have the challenge in the external link, and highly suggest doing it.
Mine might be a tad different because I'm going to be trying something new. Science-fiction and chick-lit is something I haven't heard of yet, so why not?
Let's rock.
[EDIT: 05/28/15] okay, please be cautious when reading this because it's so ancient, and i had no idea where i was going with this. also, be aware that i might not publish new chapters to this for a while. i'm more likely to go back and edit the chapters completely.
