Agatha waited patiently until her dad broke the silence.
"Agatha Williams, do...do you believe in vampires?" Jack gulped;Agatha again, twitched "Why are you asking?" Agatha asked, tilting her head a little; her dad turned away, "just--curiosity" he replied as Agatha nodded, "did you remember that movie about vampires we watch? It looks so real doesn't it? I myself almost believed it was real! I gotta be honest, I searched for proofs that vampires are real despite false, I gave up so easily--my brain couldn't handle it! On a website it has some kind of a proof of vampires like--they're fossils, and on the other website, it says they aren't real, I felt so betrayed, though. So I searched for videos instead of texts and images, and again, I was so confused! I don't think I could answer that, sorry" Agatha said as her dad nodded, "vampires are real" Jack confessed "and--how do you know that?" Agatha asked "few years ago back when you're born, I'm a vampire hunter, me and my other hunter friends work together as team hunting for vampires. At the time, you're born, it's so hard to find a single vampire. We almost gave up!--until one on stormy night, we found y--I mean them! We slashed each and every vampire, and no, Vampires died and vapours into dust, that's why it's hard to find proofs of vampires existence and well, since that day, we thought it's the end of it, the end of our suffering" Jack explained; Agatha nodded, "this story is so suprising that I need a chocolate milk!" Agatha chuckled as jack joined her laugh too. "Come on now, Mom must be worried" dad said, going upstairs, Agatha followed him as she brought her backpack.
Agatha went to her room and lay on the bed. Vampires are...real? How can I not know that? Never mind, the past is in the past, vampires vanished--but how..? How could we know that?, Agatha sighed, taking out her laptop and drawing tablet, taking out the pen, she started drawing and editing the effects,
"It's gotta be a good one, capiche?"
Agatha sighed at what Mr Dan said, she drew it with a little of cartoon effects, as she put on her favourite house trap music through her headphones.
*AVICII MUSIC BLARES INTO THE HEADPHONES*
Ahhh, verdammt, what now?, she checked on her phone, Talking about the animation, Mr Dan was calling her as she accept it.
"Hello, Daniel?" Agatha said, Agatha was used to call her principal by his name, and he seems fine with it, "Agatha, have you finished your work?" Daniel said "I'm working on it and there is half of chance it will be finished by Thursday" Agatha said while drawing with her right hand and left hand on the call, "good, because I need it finish on Monday two next week" Daniel said "Actually, why didja pick me as the animator?" Agatha asked through the phone "oh that's simple, you're the only student who is good at animation and design, plus, you dreamt of being a successful animator. Did you know, I watched every short movie that you post? I love it, that's why I chose you" Daniel said "thanks, uh...I need to get back to work, see ya" Agatha said "bye" Daniel said as they hang up.
Agatha went back drawing, when rest, she went to her book she's been working on.
The school had been forcing her to at least join one extra lesson and she finally picked basket, that's why she's tall.
Agatha was in the middle of typing just as suddenly she fell asleep, she flinched and turned her laptop off and put everything back in her backpack as she went to change her clothes then go to sleep.
TOMMOROW
The clock shows 5:15, Agatha woke up, her parents still asleep, Agatha tilt her head a little, that's weird, they're still asleep..? Meh, I guess they're tired, it's Sunday after all, Agatha thought.
Walking to the bathroom, brushing her teeth, she examine her teeth and stopped at her fangs, she licked her fangs and some cold shiver went through her vines, she don't know why.
She went to take a walk near a familiar river, she loved that river since she was 5 years young, the river was always clean, it makes the park comfy. Strangely, on each of her birthday, a green light glows inside the river. Unfortunately, the river is deep, Agatha can only see the glowing from afar.
Now that she's tall enough, or maybe too tall, she could dive and took the thing, but she never dared to try, afraid it was all an hallucinations of herself, she sighed.
"Gosh, I really do know you" Someone said with a familiar voice behind her; Agatha turned to see Leah grinning while crossing her arms. "Yeah yeah" Agatha said, sitting on a birch wooden bench; Leah joined her.
"I wanted to ask you this since a long time....why do you love this river?--I mean, I know it's clean and all, but it seem like it has something special in it that makes you adore it" Leah asked "It's just so unique, on my every birthday, there's some kind of green glowing thing inside it. I don't know if I'm hallucinating or what, it's just awesome" Agatha said "cool" Leah said "do you still remember Mia?" Leah asked "Me-a still remember her" Agatha joked; they both chuckled "I met her awhile ago" Leah said "oh really, lead me to her" Agatha said, grinning.
Leah and Agatha walked along the river and met a brown-haired girl a.k.a Mia. Agatha put her right hand on Mia's left shoulder from behind, Mia turned and Agatha couldn't tell if she's either suprised or disappointed.
"Ag...Agatha, right?" Mia reassured "don't tell me you forgot" Agatha smiled "Agatha?! Omg you're so tall!! I remember you're the shortest kid in elementary!" Mia gasped "hehe, yup!" Agatha said, annoyed, "aaanddd, you've gotten more sassy...!!" Agatha announced, laughing; Leah snickered "Hey! A - anyway let's get to this new café!" Mia asked "nah" Agatha refused "I'll join" Leah exclaimed, Mia turned to Agatha, "money on me" Mia said "that's Mia" Agatha grinned, joining Leah and Mia.
From people side of view, Agatha looked like a boy, very tall.
Agatha and both of her friends arrived at the café. Leah ordered a capuccino, Mia ordered green tea matcha and of course, Agatha ordered chocolate milk, they sat as they took their orders.
"I don't get it...you drank chocolate often but you aren't fat" Mia mumbled "isn't that the function of sports?" Agatha said "but I do yoga! But my weight could get heavier each day! Hmph! " Mia said "relax, it's not that you got obesity or something" Leah said "try the weight losing sports then, if you do sports only to lose weight " Agatha and Leah snickered "yeah, whateves" Mia said, drinking her drink.
The 3 of them talk and talk, Agatha is the least to talk.
Agatha is the one who finished her drink first and she stood up "I have work to do, see ya" Agatha said as she walked away "she seems busy" Mia said "yeah, our principal told her to be the animator for the government's visit next three weeks" Leah said "ooh, yeah. Last month the government visit my school too, it's so fun" Mia said "I hope it will" Leah said.
Agatha went home and didn't do her work, she just grabbed her sketch book and stationaries. She started to sketch something.
She sketch a little girl staring at the beautiful black night sky, it's still a rough sketch though. Then she started lining the little girl with her 0.1 drawing pen, she took out her brush-marker and pick a color for the sky. She coloured the little girl with her pencil colour, everything seems so detailed.
Last but not least, she cleaned up the mess of pencil and the eraser dust.
She finished her drawing.
She sighed and put her stuff on the night stand as she lay on her bed, still thinking about the vampires. Her mind is so full. Could it be real? She closed her eyes and rested until the night....
