Chapter 13

I was so happy when I read the text that Luke had sent me.
"Hey Sally thank you very much for speaking to Michael for me, I just hope Luke didn't feel pressured into texting me"
"Laurie don't be silly that man loves the bones of you, Michael says he talks about you all the time."
"What are people going to think though, we haven't even came out as a couple, he'll I don't even know what we are" I said
"Girl, y'all will be fine everything is going to work out I can feel it in my bones" she said laughing
"Ha ha ha, I sure hope so"
"Well we better get this place cleaned up, we are getting some visitors in the morning" she said.
We got to cleaning the house and I stripped my bed clothes off and changed them, didn't want Luke sleeping in my tear stained bed sheets. Damn there's me getting ahead of myself, he might not even want to stay over, I will make up the spare bed as well just to be sure.

Luke's POV

I was so excited to be seeing Laurie tomorrow, it's been a long four months and now that she is pregnant I'm sure she is going to look even sexier, glowing in fact.
"Luke still to go on stage" Kerrie said
"Oh Kerrie while you are here I have some news I would like to tell you, I'm going to be a dad" I said smiling
"Oh Luke that's fantastic, I didn't know you and Caroline where back together" she said
"It's not with Caroline. It's Laurie" I said
"Oh"
"What do you mean "oh"?"
"Nothing I just didn't think you were still in contact with her, I thought she was a rebound from Caroline" she said
"No she was not a rebound Kerrie and I would appreciate if you didn't say that again, the few days I spent in Mexico with her was the best days of my life, I have never felt with Caroline the things I felt with her, and now she is carrying my baby, I love her even more" I said sounding pissed
"I'm sorry Luke I didn't mean it to sound like that, congratulations I'm really happy for you you will make a great dad. Do you want to make an announcement tonight to your fans"
"Yeah I think I might"
I headed into the stage and started playing a few songs. Then in-between song changes I decided to announce my up and coming father hood
"Hey guys I have a little announcement to make. As you know Caroline and I have divorced and while I was in Mexico I met this beautiful Georgia peach called Laurie. Well I would love to share my fantastic news Laurie and I are having a baby, I'm going to be a daddy"
The crowd went mental, cheering and applauded, this is what I love about my fans they stick by me no matter what.
