Inspired by the Come era
In this tale, our protagonist, who's name is well known, was a musician of the late 1600's, playing around the world for many who offered a satisfying paycheck. Later within this century, he had gone to Spain upon request of a client, meeting a beautiful dancer by the name of Mayte, who had him under a miraculous spell of love. He had become so in love with her after working with one another for so long, that he married her and promised that he wouldn't dare love another as much as he did her.

But sadly, as musicians often do sing their promises, they are not often kept. For our beloved pianist had fell for another, whose name then was Nikita. Upon finding him out, Mayte had soon turned on our beloved artist. Not only did she use her dancing as a disguise for her witchcraft, she had also cast a curse upon him prior to their relationship. What was this curse that bounded him into falling for her? That he could only fall for a scent as lovely as her own, instantly making them a couple we he'd first met her. But since he's broken her heart, she had cursed him with the burden of no sense of smell and that he will live for all eternity in search of blood along with his friends not having any memory of him just like the world will forget he was ever a famous musician. As for his lover Nikita, Mayte did not leave her out, for she had erased her from ever knowing or remembering him. Mayte left our protagonist with being the only one knowing of his past life and past memories.

But what his sorceress lover purposely failed to tell him was that if he found the woman from his past and truly loved her like he once did, he would be able to smell her precious scent.

It has now fast forward to 1994 into the bustling streets of New York City, where Prince, our past musician, owns an antique shop in which has all things that once were in style during his time. This being his day job, while by night, he attends a night club where he preys on the drunken bodies all around to quench his everlasting thirst. He also goes in hopes of finding Nikita, but only finds his hunger being fulfilled every night for the most of his nights.

Until he's met with the eyes of the lover he's been in love with sincere his musical career, standing at the counter of his antique with an application in her hand.
