I Listened to the howling of the pack wolves nearby. Did I say wolves? whoops sorry I meant werewolves. Am I a werewolf? No, I'm not a werewolf, I'm a witch though. Before you ask no not the ugly kind with green skin, pointy noses that match their hats and warts to match their ugly style, I look pretty normal if you ask me, and if you ask Evan, and Nickki (Nicole). Evan and Nicole Bertruisse are brother and sister of the pack next door, and also my best friends. That's how I know that their werewolves. They don't know I'm a witch though. They can't know. Cliché I know, people can't know your deep dark secret, yada yada yada. I get it, okay. I know I should probably tell them I just can't, my dad would be so mad at me. and I don't want him to turn me into a freaking frog again okay, that was horrible, I had to eat flies for a week! My dad isn't very strict, he told me when I was younger that I couldn't trust anyone with our secret, not even my own sister knows that we're all, yes she's one to, witches. Cassandra's nine years old and you know how those nine year olds are, they keep their damn mouths shut. I mean I wasn't like that, everyone came to me for their secrets, and not once did I let one of my own secrets seep out, or theirs unless it was about their family beating the living tar out of them, then I did a thing called, get them out now before it gets out of hand. yea long name I know. Anyways I'm getting way off track. My dad told me after our mom left us ten years ago. I'm eighteen now, I'll be nineteen next month. she left when I was eight, and my sister Cassandra was one. Sometimes I still hear dad in his room crying. I mean your wife left you and you have no idea where she is, obviously you're going to cry. I don't cry about it anymore, obviously it was something about this family she didn't like and if she didn't like it then she lost something worth living for. Anywho, I walk out of my room to the back door. I can't sleep when everyone in Evan's and Nickki's pack howl. That's like nineteen people. Which is a lot in one night, and at once. I put on my dad's plaid dickkie's jacket and my dark purple nike hightops. I opened the back door and headed towards the forest. "EVAN! NICOLE! COME HERE FOR A SEC PLEASE!" I yell at the top of my lungs. I kept walking, I tripped on something and fell face first into the dirt. "AHHH" I screamed on my down to the cold ground. "Great now my dad's going to Freakin' Kill Me!" I muttered in frustration. I turned to see what I tripped on. It was a dark brown pup, it looked scared, and completely lost. Most be from Evan and Nickki's pack. I picked it up to find out it was girl. (no I didn't feel there you pervs, normally if you pick up a boy pup it'll fight you first, a girl pup will just shake and try to fight you). "Hey it's okay, I've got you, you don't need to be scared. I'll keep you safe okay? Alright, I need to know a few things first okay? so just shake your head yes or no, and I'm too confusing tilt your head okay" I said to her. She nodded. I needed to know if she was part of their pack. if she wasn't they would kill her. I'm not going to let that happen. Yea how can I be friends with killers. To make it clear Evan and Nickki aren't killers each time they protest a murder. They hate being a werewolf when it comes to killing people that aren't in their pack. "Are you part of the Bertruisse Pack?" I ask her. She nods her head. Okay that's a relief. "Are they looking for you?" she shook her head.
"A family member?" she nodded her head sadly.
"your mom?" a nod.
"Do you know how to shift back?" a nod. She shifted back and she wasn't wearing anything, so I quickly gave her my dad's jacket.
