Jason's eyes narrowed towards Ian. "What was that?" He asked, his eyes darkened. "I told you to shut up, are you deaf?" Ian retorted, glaring at him. Adam heard light footsteps that were barely audible, and walked to the source.
"Echo?" He asked, scared that the ghost-like teenager might jump out of one of the cabinets and give him a heart attack. She came out of the pantry. Gently closing the door behind her, "Adam."
He glanced at her appearance. A pair of loose grey sweat pants and a black short sleeved shirt. Her wrist was still wrapped up in linen, however a few glints of red were visible. "I'm sorry about your wrist, it was an accident." He blubbered. She just gave him a faint smile, "It wasn't your fault, and as long as Ty doesn't know about the cut, consider you ass saved."
"But won't he see the bandages?" He asked, giving her a quizzical look.
She sighed, "I wear long sleeved shirt and sweaters all day, or I stay in my room. He won't know."
Adam was contemplating on his next move. He smiled, pulling her in for a hug. "If there's anything that I can do for you, just ask." He whispered into her ear,as he let go and walked back to the boys.
It was a sight indeed. Ian had Jason pinned to the floor, but Jason had managed to kick Ian off of himself. Then Jason punched Ian, straight in the eye-leaving a growing bruise. Ian frowned and walked to the kitchen, "I'm gonna be the bigger person here, and not continue this fight. You have fun gloating about how you gave me a black eye, all because I told you to stop talking crap about a, possibly suicidal and anorexic, girl that has done nothing wrong to you."
When he entered he saw Echo reaching for something on a high shelf. He chuckled silently as the short brunnet jumped up and down trying to get it. He grinned, as he wrapped an arm around her small waist and grabbed a box of pasta, placing it on the counter.
Echo blushed at the sudden contact with him. Sure, he was good looking, but so we're models and actors. She looked up at him and gasped as his eye began to swell a bit. She walked to the freezer and pulled out a bag of peas, and tossed it to him. "Here." she smirked, "You can help me cook dinner by defrosting the peas."
He shot her a look but smiled, "You know, Jason gave me the black eye." She froze, "Why?"
"He called you a bitch, and I told him to shut up. Then we started arguing and well..." He answered, trailing off at the end.
"He punched you in the eye?" She said, walking over to him and inspecting his eye.
He watched as her small, pale hands delicately grazed his skin. "Yeah..." He breath out.
"You...you may or may not have thrown away your friendship with Jason, just to be nicer to me?" He nodded, making her blush grow. It didn't go unnoticed by Ian.
"So, is there a possibility that I'll be forgiven for what I've done to you before?" He asked, a gleam of hope sparkled in his eyes. She grinned, "If you help with dinner, then yeah."
{Small timeskip maybe?}
Echo sat between Ian and Adam, two of the three(Ty, Ian and Adam) that she trusted. The rest of the boys piled in shortly after, each sending an apologetic look to Echo and Ian, except I Jason. He gave sympathy to Echo, but not Ian.
The men and Echo ate their meals in silence. Jason glared at Ian, who ignored him. Echo and Adam glared at Jason, who was slightly offended. The rest were confused.
"Echo," Jason spoke, slurping a piece of spaghetti. "You should really learn how to cook better. I mean, these foods are fattening." Echo looked at herself, then the food, then at herself again. Mitch cringed as Echo roughly pushed away her mostly eaten plate of spaghetti, "Excuse me."
She ran to the bathroom. She locked the door and fell to her knees in front of the toilet. "I can't believe that I'm actually resorting to this..."She whispered, shoving a finger into her mouth and down her throat. The hot, scratchy feeling built up at the back of her throat, as the Mac n' Cheese and pasta we'd thrown back up into the toilet. She did this several more times before she flushed it. She whipped her mouth, and rinsed with some mouthwash.
When she came back, Jason spoke, again. "Echo, why do you wear such boyish clothes? Why do t you have a real name?" He shot question after question. She threw her fork at him, "WHY DO YOU EXIST!?"
Jason felt a tang of pain in his heart. He stood up, grabbed his jacket and ran out the front door. The occupant's just resumed eating, or in Echo's case, reading in the safety of her room.
"Payback's a bitch, ain't it Jason?" she growled, flipping to the next page.
