ANDREA looked at her phone in shock. She waited for a reply, all night, and even tried to call Tyler, but her call was rejected.

Which was how she felt.

Her mood slumped quickly, and as she went to get a glass of water, she slipped and caught herself, but sat on the floor against the cupboard.

Her phone began to buzz, and she saw it was Colton calling, and she denied it. She had been pushing her family and friends away over the past month, not feeling sociable enough.

As she set her phone on the floor, one thought repeatedly flashed through her mind.

He doesn't trust you.

Shutting her eyes, Andrea fought off the tears. Her phone buzzed again, this time with a text.

Andrea smiled but shook her head as she went to tell Colton she wasn't up for it, but stopped.

This was exactly what she was like after her fathers death.

Shut off, pushing the people she cared about away, and feeling like shit. The last thing she would ever want would be to become that Andrea again.
