Cold, betrayed, injured and left to rot Dwight was left to wander aimlessly through what was a scarce junkyard of broken cars. The three other strangers that accompanied him, brutally killed, they had only completed one generator together before that thing, no, monster came. His thoughts were soon ragged out of his head as the ice cold wind knocked him over. Without any thought Dwight cried out in pain as he landed on his already infected wound, when he had first encountered the Monster. Frantically, Dwight rolled over and gripped his shoulder, a quiet sob choked out hoping the whistling winds would hide any noise.
Before Dwight could get up, a few sharp splatters landed on his arm and his surroundings before it encased the whole area. Of course it's fucking raining, Dwight cursed as he looked at the relentless sky. He thought he had mastered his unluckiness by now.
Another icy wind hit him, accompanied by the rain that felt like tiny pellets pushed him forward into what was the back of a car, Dwight winced and rubbed at his glasses not that it would do any difference to his sight.
He haphazardly pulled at the trunk door, expecting it to be closed, jammed and what not. Yet, pleasantly surprised when it creaked open, he took no time to celebrate and happily took refuge. Maybe he wasn't so unlucky after all. Scrambling to take shelter from the rain Dwight shifted awkwardly in the small space, trying to avoid hitting his damaged shoulder while closing the trunk door."No fucking way." Dwight whispered he stopped dead in his tracks just before he fully closed the trunk door, his breath hitched the slither of rain came into the trunk soaking him slightly, turning his blood into ice. His eyes fixated on a hill not too far away, it's watching me. It's been watching me this entire time.
Tears welled up subconsciously but he let them fall freely. He'd lost all hope, tired of running, tired of trying, he wanted it to end. At least it would make one of us happy. Dwight curled in on himself trying to regenerate whatever heat he lost, proven hard in his sodden clothes. He stopped shivering, his body felt just as Ridgid as the generators outside as he thought about the past. How he was tricked into these very woods, thinking he had been finally accepted by his peers in work by being invited for a drink. Only to be left, a laughing stock.
That's all I have been and will be remembered as.
Dwight's shoulders hitched as he chocked out another sob, dwelling in his own pity.A painful screech of metal snapped Dwight's bloodshot eyes wide open, the metallic sound plunged deeply into his gut as the whistling winds started to rip at his ears once again, Dwight looked at the monster, it's white orbs scanned his tear soaked face with no mercy, Dwight closed his eyes tightly as the monster hauled his frail cold body into it's shoulder into the boltic surroundings. Dwight used the last of his energy to grab onto the killer, delaying his death. Gripping it's blood stained cloak, Dwight hung on for his life, he mustered the last of his energy to hold on even tighter the longer the journey took. knowing fully well any last step that the monster took could be Dwight's finial moment.
Dwight weakly lifted his head, the force of the wind helping him. Dwight readjusted his grip in hope to give him a slight chance of slipping away, his arms around it's neck forcing the monster to readjust his hold on Dwight.
Warm, Dwight instinctively shifted his numb and battered face into the crook of it's neck which was strangely rough and leathery, his tousled waterlogged hair following suit. The monster barely reacted to the cold, apart from the slight twitch from it's shoulders. From what seemed eternity, they both were sheltered from a the storm. Dwight automatically assumed the sick monster wanted to hook him in the basement for it's own enjoyment. He felt it's grip tighten on his body, ready to haul him on to a hook. Dwight mustered whatever energy he had left and weakly hung onto the thing while giving out a weak cry, his voice scratchy and sore from his previous screams. The thing pulled at Dwight harder he had no choice but to let go, it was time to go. However rather than a sharp hook impaling him, he was greeted with a soft surface.
Wait, What?
