"For all this reason, make every effort to supplement your faith with goodness, goodness with knowledge, knowledge with self-control, self-control with endurance, endurance with godliness, godliness with brotherly affection, and brotherly affection with love." 2 Peter 1: 5-7
As Christians we need to possess qualities that are not only going to benefit us in life, but benefit those around us.
We need goodness despite how bad the world around us might be.
We need knowledge especially knowledge of the word.
We need self-control. Self-control over fleshly desires, self-control over lust, self-control over sin, self-control over everything.
We need endurance. Endurance to deal with everything going on around us. We need the ability to endure the persecutions, the pains, everything.
We need godliness. We are NOT God, but we are created in his image. We need to have his traits. Sometimes you need to ask yourself, 'What would Jesus do?'
We need brotherly affection. Brotherly affection between us, we need to be able to help each other and build each other up. We need to be able to help a brother or sister out after they've had a bad day.
And the one we always need and should always have is LOVE.
Love can conquer all. If we had more love between us in this society, I believe so many evil would not have happened. If we had love, we wouldn't shoot someone. If we had love, we wouldn't bully others, we wouldn't curse someone out, we wouldn't do evil to others.
If we had love, the world would be in harmony, we could all be friends. We need more love in us, more love for our brothers and sisters. More love for those in Christ and those who are not. WE NEED MORE LOVE!!!!💖💖💖💖💖
